Many years ago, we were asked to interview for a job running his house and logistics.

We turned it down because we thought he was very old and it would be a short lived job <laugh>

What a mistake that was ... a truly wonderful man.

Haha...it's what the hospital put on him. He's also got an electronic tag on his ankle. It's so babies can't be taken out of the unit with it on, as all the doors will lock if attempted.
They don't live in Catchgate now, they live on the edge Anfield Plain/New Kyo.

Thanks for all the kind comments lads, really means a lot. Got me bloody choked tbh.
They should be going home tomorrow morning, I'll be picking them both up whenever she rings and says she can go home.
The first day of the rest of my life starts tomorrow, and I can't wait.

I posted this ^^^^ on 1st May after the latest round of kidney matching was unsuccessful, and they were looking at a direct donation ( me to the Mrs).

The transplant co-ordinator rang today and said the nephrologist and the surgeon were happy to proceed considering the Mrs consistently low antibodies count. We have an appointment with the nephrologist and the surgeon next Tuesday, 20th, to talk through the pros and cons of a direct (non-match) donation.
Basically to confirm I was still willing to donate, and to discuss the extra treatment the Mrs will need to receive a non-match kidney. It would mean some kind of transfusion to reduce the risk of rejection, and a 10 stay in hospital post op, as opposed to a 7 day stay.

Looks like this really is a goer, and would be life changing for the Mrs.

28th April my daughter passes her driving test, 8th May she has her first child, our first Grandchild, then today we get this news.
Just need the lads to finish the job tomorrow, then on to the final.

Wow, what a couple of weeks.

Just wanted to share my little win somewhere to make me feel better if not the right place then sorry

just been to the GP after concerns with aches and pains in the manly parts. Copped and feel and he said it all feels normal. Getting blood tests done anyway but he doesn’t seem worried. Fingers crossed they come alright. Just got to wait the 3 week
