As bad as Watford’s decision to sack Cleverley was, they at least had his replacement appointed a week later. Mike White says there’s no replacement lined up so we’re even more of a joke than Watford. Well done, Acun. Can’t wait for the next Q&A if he’s not too much of a coward this time.
talkSPORT journalist saying he’s sacked. ‘Board not happy with a run of two wins in their final 9 games when battling to stay up.’ What a ****ing weasel haha. Doesn’t matter who we appoint because this **** will just make them a scapegoat.
Objectively... this has been a board meeting. There are other people in place who are either weak, or concur with the owners thoughts. For me, it was inevitable. At least, I suspect, the replacement will be in place before decisions on transfers are made.
I don't have particular strong feelings towards Baz Cooper either way but all those jumping on him for suggesting Selles will be sacked when the guy clearly knew something to write it need to calm it. Shocking ****ing decision though if it goes ahead, then again I wonder if the results everybody started picking up towards the end of the season had an effect as initially Selles did a great job but with all the points others picked u and the closer we got to the bottom three it was easy to lose sight of that and ultimately we stayed up by the skin of our teeth despite him having half a season
Yea the clubs going nowhere with these **** people running it Its been 12 days since the season ended and only now they make a decision Stupid ****s
Sacking Selles without a replacement already lined up is idiotic. Another summer of chasing managers and then not bringing in the players that suit their style of play? I believe we will also be going into next season now paying 3 managers wages, which can't be ideal when we're so cash strapped.
How is the membership news ‘good news’? I wouldn’t say it’s bad news but a price increase isn’t generally good news either. It’s just neutral. Sacking Sellés on the other hand is ridiculous whichever way you look at it.
When Acun first walked in, remember what he said. I want to be entertained. 12 goals in the last 14 games was probably a key factor also. In lots of those games, we didnt even look like scoring.
Im ****ing flabbergasted at the decision And it taken so long is even so worse Selles will be another manager who finds more success outside this clownshow He should be grateful
Although this is true, and I don't disagree, I think getting rid of him is a dog **** decision regardless. As for other people talking about recruitment, isn't it painfully obvious at this point? The manager really doesn't have much of a say over who we sign. We're already linked with a few this summer and it happens in every window where you just think 'there's no way the manager has come up with that name'. The two big things we got wrong last season was the manager merry go round, and moreso for me the amount of squad churn rather than strengthening weak areas and building. Early signs suggest it'll be the same again this summer and with a new guy coming in we either need the stars to align or we're in for a really ****ty season again.
