I’m not an emotional man….it goes with my job. So there must have been a bit of dust or grit kicked up by the air con in my house tonight. That can be the only reason I had to rub my eyes. Ya git!!!

RTB thanks for a season of brilliant matchday threads, cant wait till your last one of the season !
What can I say about last night, I cant explain the emotions I went through, thought about family and friends no longer here to enjoy it with me and then looked to my left and seen my daughter smiling from ear to ear, for that moment, for that experience, for that explosion of passion from the stands I can only thank the staff and players and owners of our football club ! Proud of every single one of them. This group of players have grew from kids to men this season and in the grand scheme of things have cost next to nothing, to compete and excel against clubs with huge budgets in comparison is fantastic. I looked at their faces closely last night when they were celebrating and that group of players care about our club, that will do for me ! Wembley cant come quick enough

We were in the black cats bar last night and there was a woman waiting for the lift after the match with who I guess was her daughter in a motorized wheelchair.

Apparently Coventry fans wouldn't let her get into the lift with a Steward there watching. She kept pressing the button for the lift but kept getting the same result. She asked us to help her which we did and got them safely downstairs. How the hell did Coventry get access to the lift in the first place?

So Lampard thinks his football team were better than our football team.

Fair enough but better at what?

Better at shots on goal - no we had twice as many last night, their keeper made twice the saves.

Better at scoring or preventing goals - no, we scored 3 to their 2 over the two legs.

And that's what counts in football, not endless hopeful crosses or shots with little chance of scoring.

They raised their game, bless them, but they just weren't good enough to beat us is either game.

I thought Coventry were pretty dirty over the two legs. Another in a list of teams who have decided to 'leave something on' in challenges and try to rattle our young lads.

As we've seen so many times, our lads have got ridiculous heart and tenacity though. Absolutely love them.

It's amazing after over 105 mins of football, we dug deep and went up a level in that second half of extra time. Just shows how much we've missed Mundle.

For me, that would be the team that ended the game to start against Sheffield Utd
