So...in the cold light of day....WOW !!!!! what a night. Our fans are amazing, the atmosphere was unreal, god knows what it must have been like for those who were there.
Yes, we rode our luck, but in reality, Coventry only had 2 shots on target the whole game for all their possession. Our defence was unbelievable

I will say, when Roberts went off, Mundle came on and Le Fee went in the middle the entire game changed. We sucked the life out of them in extra time... Anyway, one more game lads..we can do this

Lot of people mentioned RLBs decision to play Ballard over Meptham these two legs and how he was so justified in that, but what about choosing onien over Meptham because again I think he was justified with that too.

That last ditch one on one defending when Wright was nearly through man. Luke onien is a Sunderland legend imo, he deserves his moment with us in the prem. Possibly the best thing to happen in the league one years, was signing this lad.

Incredible atmosphere. That’s got to be marker for all our home games. Pack it and we make a noise. Can hardly talk today. Sound like Phyllis from Corrie

It's great to see Ballard fit ain't it. Just need to keep the boy in that zone. Some player. Old fashioned centre back. I do think he and Mepo could be a prem level centre back pairing.

I love Mayenda. So positive on and off the ball. What a signing he was.

Someone needs to explain to Frank that "dominating possession" does not mean you dominate the game.
Also, one team allowing the other team to have the ball doesn't mean you "dominate" possession, it means you are given the ball by the other team

So many things in that footage.

    Highlights for me are

    • the coaching staff in utter disbelief when we scored
    • Us fans being a wall of sound throughout
    • Chris Rigg being 100 percent emotionally invested, the lad does not hold back and enjoys every minute.
    • Big Dan Ballard should strapped to feck!
    • The whole club staff on the pitch enjoying the scenes as one

Not sure Mepham and Ballard as the cb two would work aswell!
I've said all along both matches were a hard watch, with us given up possession constantly but the reality is they created less chances! But the only stats that count are goals!
