I disagree, they were a complete no show in the Grand Final last year, their star player had his worst game of the season on the biggest stage. There’s no shame in losing to Wigan, but that was a 50:50 game and Rovers played poorly. The Leeds game they weren’t favourites for sure, but no team comes away after losing 50-0 and thinks they gave the best version of themselves. The Leigh game was close but they had the game in the palm of their hands and fumbled it. They’re a good team and will win something eventually, but they’ve struggled in recent finals and will be keen to put that to bed.
That's what I mean with that twitter post, it was only announced yesterday and all the important info already out so fans can start saving and making plans.
I booked 2 places earlier today - was already busy on direct flights as it's not only Rovers going but Leeds as well although there's probably loads of places if you avoid the set packages
Save your money. Spoke to a couple who went with Wigan earlier this year. Its a pantomine from start to finish. The ground was virtually empty with no atmosphere at all, and the match according to them was rigged to appear exciting and close. Cost them a fortune too to mix with a load of idiots in fancy dress, many of them were local actors paid to turn up, get on camera and act as though they were excited. 100% mickey mouse.
mate ease up…let’s just say the rugby gives me an legitimate excuse for a few days in sin city….couldnt give a **** if it’s 200% Mickey Mouse
Ahh the art of the blag for a weekend away with fellow gents of the art away from disapproving eyes of those left at home.
The Wigan game finished 48-24, if it was rigged to appear close you’d have thought they’d have done a better job!
Good for you. Just last weekend I heard someone say when it's time to leave the only thing you can take with you is your memories, not your money, not your toys, not your sparkly jewelery only your memories, best go make some.
They'd have done a better job by promoting the game in this country in the many areas that don't follow the sport. The couple I spoke too said it was like attending a circus from start to finish and the game had no competitive edge to it at all. It was like a friendly.
Can't see it being rigged as it's regarded as a League Game. Next years is regarded as one of Rovers home games.
