The issue is that there's absolutely no creativity in the side. We've got below average strikers receiving next to no service

Next season - mid-table
Season after - play-offs
Season after - promotion

That is if we improve the squad each season

he has quite literally never shown anything at this level to suggest he’s capable

 

The plan is to play strikers on the wing, only have one striker in the middle and dont give him the ball.

 

He has probably never played his preferred position either constantly.

 

Don't do football players, positions, stats and stuff but would that mean we would have to drop the goal machine Gelhardt, the proven one we chased and chased to get on loan?

 

The quality or lack of quality of the majority of the championship means i think theres nothing to stop any team who just survived this season, wanting to look at play offs straight away.
was it 18 points off top 6 we finished? considering we were at bottom all season , thats not a massive gap.
Imagine if we had a delap type loan who could have scored us 10 -15 goals, Belloumi and Matazo stayed fit, Barry etc.
who knows how many extra points that may have been worth.
sensible recruitment and fill the right gaps in the squad and have a go, i dont see the need for any team to not eye up the top 6- its what makes this league so exciting.

I would think that a better review would be carried out by coaches discussing dead ball routines, tactics, strengths and weaknesses of players rather than executives too far removed from the actual football.
How do we accept so many rubbish corners? we dont seem to know what we are trying to do at throw ins. what is the plan at free kicks?

 

Progress isn’t linear. Sunderland lost 5 games in a row before the playoffs and are now one game away in the lead from Wembley.

 

Set pieces is one area we improved massively under Sellés.
