Found something on the TV to take my mind off tonight - the cup final against Man City! Didn't realise it was on and missed Borini's goal!

Sunderland AFC will reveal an iconic tribute to one of the Club’s greatest players of all time on Tuesday evening.

Following the players’ return to the dressing rooms at 19:45, former players, staff, and supporters will come together to celebrate a true Wearside legacy.

The Lads return to Wearside with a 2-1 advantage over Coventry City, and fans are encouraged to arrive early at the Stadium of Light.

The tie is far from over and everyone has a part to play, with a full matchday itinerary available below:

    ‘TIL THE END: THE LINE-UP

17:30: Beacon of Light fan zone
    Soak in the pre-match atmosphere

18:00: A sea of red and white
Line the bus route and bring the noise

    18:15: Team coach arrives
Welcome to the Lads to the Stadium of Light

    19:00: Warm-ups
Fill the stadium and get the rave on

    19:45: A legendary tribute
    Celebration of an all-time great

    19:50: Stadium display
    The red flag, flying high

    20:00: Kick-off
    Together, ‘Til the End

    Light show

Supporters with photosensitive disorders, sensitivities to strobe lighting and/or adverse reactions to flashing lights are advised that lighting FX may be utilised pre and post-match.

    Pyrotechnics

The safety of fans attending is of paramount importance, and security checks will be made before and during the match.

Action will be taken against anyone identified to be breaching stadium regulations, and supporters are reminded that using these pyrotechnic devices inside a football stadium is a criminal offence that will lead to police action, prosecution and football bans.

No doubt some will say 'it's all a bit corporate' but no one can say the club aren't doing their bit ...

... if more people sang, cheered and clapped the club wouldn't have to think about it.

The Fulwell end started from 2pm onwards, starting with the young lads and the voices gradually deepening as the pubs turned out <laugh>

    Ha'way the Lad!!!

The Coventry fans have convinced themselves that we'll get on the player's backs if we sit deep or go behind ...

... perhaps, on long series of defeats and poor showings, not in one game like this.

I don't think they'll be expecting what they're going to get.
