It doesn't really explain it though does it? Sacking Selles and locking in his replacement are independent events at this time of year. There's no game Saturday we need a manager for.
Totally, it’s a conversation/opinions board, that’s what it’s for. I love a good poll. I’m really on the fence with this one. My heart wants to give him a chance, my brain says we need someone else.
It wasn't the poll in particular i was objecting to. It was just that it came on the back of a week or so of torrid, verging on toxic, speculation and conjecture about Selles and Acun based on nothing but something Baz is meant to have written. I felt some of the comments were at best disrespectful to both Selles and Acun. I understand everyone wants to know what's happening, almost on a daily basis, but really the club have no obligation to to provide that level of detail and imo if things are unresolved it's better not to reveal such uncertainty, can do more harm than good. We fans just have to be patient. Actually a question that I don't think has been raised so far, does Selles actually want to stay?
From the Fail, few more days of uncertainty and conjecture... https://www.hulldailymail.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/fresh-hull-city-manager-update-10174014
He's always included when senior figures at the club are listed like in this article, but I'm not sure I've ever seen him identified individually, or heard any mention of what he does specifically. He may well be a fictional character designed to pad out the leadership team to make us sound more organised.
I understand, but it’s an extremely emotional subject so I don’t think you’ll ever get rid of people expressing themselves in that way.
Somewhat related but early in the season, back when Walter was still manager, Howden was telling me about random Turkish blokes rocking up to the MKM reception saying Acun had given them jobs at the club.
I’m not sure anyone has claimed that these random Turkish blokes were set to work and put on the payroll. Stuff like that happens at all clubs.
