Could be our ticket to CL next year or not. Whatever it is, it's sure to be a difficult ,hard fought game. If we reproduce our Liverpool form I'd back us to win. If we go back to Marescas Mogodom style, we'll get done. Expect the same team to play barring injuries, and if Jackson lifts a bit more ,all the better. Will definitely be getting up early here to watch this one. COYB !!
So what happened to the form and style against Liverpool?? Straight back to Crab Ball, walking and backwards passing. Out went the pace, passing and running that beat Liverpool. Then there is Jackson. He's done bugger all last 3 months, he doesn't have the intelligence required nor the attitude to play at this level. He cost us this game as we were all over Newcastle 2nd half but ran out of puff doing the extra work he caused. Newcastle looked bright early, but are no better than the 3 or 4 Teams right behind them in the chase. Home game, extra man, they couldn't score until extra time shows they are good but not great either. Still better than us though on the Table, and Maresca has to stop making Trump like excuses and face facts, he's crap and he's made Chelsea crap too. Will we get CL ?? Who knows, but we don't deserve it and will be smashed with this Team and Manager if we do.
I wouldn't mind getting Nunez in from Forrest. He seems to know what's up. Maresca has been a disaster. With the team we have, we simply shouldn't be this bad.
He's done a good job, and there are any number that would be better than Maresca. Thing is though, what REALLY good Manager would want to come to the lunatic asylum that is Chelsea?? Unless something big happens, I can see players we want to bring in saying "no thanks' and players we want to keep saying " I'm outa here". With the 2 dopes posing as "Football Directors" saving their own arses, who's going to admit they've really screwed up and will make the changes we need ? Answers gratefully accepted.
Not only did Jackson cost us this game, but he has also left us without a recognised striker for the rest of the season. To be honest, with the way he has been performing, he probably did us a favour. Striker should be priority one this summer, then a decent keeper.
Just like it has been for the last 2 years !! For ****s sake buy Oshimnem or one of the other 2 seriously good strikers, not another baby with "promise", and start from there !! Stop playing around with Liam from Ipswich who has achieved absolutely zero and get in someone who actually scores regularly and Oshimnen is the man. Liam can be his understudy, Jackson is too dumb to learn anything and needs to be got rid of. Won't happen of course. The "Football Directors" who look to me more and more like paid "kiddy fiddlers" every week as they buy more young boys, combined with Maresca who is clueless, couldn't assemble a decent team if they spent a billion quid ............Insert ironic statement here !!!!!! Clear out those tossers for a start, and any decent Manager could get top 4 with our squad. But we are Chelsea, and the Septic Tanks will **** us over as long as there's a quid in it for them. Look for more dumb buys, no improvement in anything, and a future just like United. Dopes in charge, outcome predictable.
Our signing options will be extremely limited if we dont qualify for the CL too. Thank god Lesta managed to steal a point against Forest or we'd be outside the top 5 right now. That win against a Liverpool side who might aswell have been playing in flip flops whilst holding margheritas really saved our asses. We need to win these next two games. United I am confident of, they have thrown in the PL towel weeks ago and are concentrating solely on the EL final which they play a few days after us. The City ground is where the slip up is going to be, because Villa are right on our arses and are looking to steal in and grab that last CL slot. And we have no striker and I have zero confidence in Maresca.
Can you believe today the "Football Directors" have said they "had they brought in a more experienced striker, we would already have CL next year". First thing they have said that is 100% correct. Just 2 years too late and half a Billion quid wasted. They also said Maresca is staying. At the same time Enzo Fernandez has started pushing to go to Real. Which makes him a better judge for next year than the 2 Dopes, and a better judge of Maresca as a Manager. Add to that we have been turned down by our top choice for Striker Liam Delap in favour of Man Utd, and Hjesin, for Real. Sign of what's to come?? What top class player would want to come to Chelsea anymore ???
Terrible game but good win against Utd. These are 2 very ordinary teams, but Chelsea had the class in Reece James and Cucurella to lift them home. There were 2 excellent pieces of skill of the real kind from James, a beautifully hit curve ball that had no right to hit the post from where he was, sublime strike from Reece. Then the old Reece showed up with a turn that left Granacho clutching at air, and hit a pin point cross to Cucurella who hammered in a perfect header. Hope Reece can start next season like that form .
It damning that two giant clubs like Chelsea and Man United are fighting over a kid with 12 goals and 2 assists.....is that really what we are looking for? Those are Nicolas Jackson level stats, and we already have one of those. I cannot stress how much I DONT want Delap. I think he is just looking to see if United and/or Chelsea get CL football qualification before he commits, though wtf he thinks he is CL level is beyond me, with his 12 goals, playing for a championship level club. If we get CL football, we should be looking at gyokeres or Osimhen, not ****ing Delap. No point signing a striker who is no better than our current striker option. Huijsen I understand, if Real come calling, then we werent really going to stand a chance. Shame, because we could have used him.
I'd break the bank for Osimhen, he scores, creates and caused problems every game. He's the one for me, but of course he's bloody expensive. Given what we've already pissed away, it's small change for what he brings, though it would upset the wage structure.
