Reckon Derby are the laughing stock of the football league tbh. Imagine being worse than us.

Find it bizarre that anyone would begrudge the fans celebrating today tbh.

 

Not a case of begruding the fans, l just cannot understand how the **** can anyone would want to celebrate being only now the second poorest team in EPL history. What sort of benchmark to determining success is that?

 

Don't think anybody is determining it as success. More relief at not being the worst team ever in the top flight.

That record would have stuck with the club forever whereas now we're just yet another really poor side among many.

Nobody outside of Saints remembers we finished 2nd in 1984 and nobody will remember this either.

This season has been utterly horrendous and the fans who have suffered aren't able to take any joy out of the one silver lining?

 

Their fans deserve to have a season like ours.

I particularly like the post that chastises us for having the audacity to create an atmosphere, not that a City ‘fan’ would know what one of those is.

 

A lot of it is a mixture of relief / sarcasm / gallows humour.

Trust the cushy football media to try and spin it as us getting ideas beyond our station though.

Yeah they can **** right off. I wasn't celebrating the team, they're ****s.* I was celebrating the fact that there wasn't another ****ty stat (and let's be honest, worst PL team ever is a pretty ****ing big one) against my beloved club. If we'd held that we'd no longer be recognised for our past achievements. Instead that'd be the first thing people would think of when they heard Southampton FC.
