    Not seen any stats to know if it’s true but it felt like every corner, every long throw, was won by Dan Ballard.

    I genuinely can’t remember a better individual performance over 90 minutes in a Sunderland shirt.

    I was prepared to accept a narrow defeat, as long as we still had something to play for. Couldn't bear being 2 or more down for the home game. Hope we try a go out and win the home game and not rest on the one goal lead.
