It’s mad that a team who could finish in the bottom 6 of the PL could play in next season’s ‘Champions’ League. Almost as mad as a team finishing 32 points off the auto spots and 22 points behind 3rd place could play in next seasons PL.
Of course Mr. "Mad as a box of frogs and I didn't see it" Wenger also thinks it's wrong that any winner of the Europa League should get to automatically play in next season's Champions League. Mainly to sample wine, cheese, French bread, frogs' legs and French onion soup. We are going to the Nouvelle Acquitaine region, near Bordeaux I believe so the wine should be good. In saying that our host this week bought 6 bottles of Cotes du Rhone for 9.95 euros. That's total!! I've told her I'm not doing any decorating for them. They can do their own paint stripping.
En Francais that's under 1.70 euros a bottle. I did say 9.95 euros total. Paintstripper is more expensive.
What I meant was that the same stuff in UK would be 6 quid. And I recently bought 5 litres in Sardinia that cost 7 euro.....and it was eminently drinkable.
Absolutely shocking offside goal given for Orient against Stockport in their first playoff game. The guy was at least 2 yards offside when the header was flicked on to him. The replays were "clear and obvious". Terrible decision by the official running the line.
Stockport look a good side and have scored 2 goals since that dreadful offside Orient goal was given. They now lead 1-2 and deserve it.
Finished 2-2 and what a great game of football to watch. We'll be playing at least one, maybe both of these next season - looking forward to it.
