Yes but gerrard put on what 4 or 5 inches at least from 15 or 16 up to 18. Bradley is what he his now.
Nunez is done. Slot clearly doesn't rate him, doesn't have too either as he's a previous regime buy. tbh I think the time for him to prove his worth has come and gone, before Slot had his words, and I think he might have even got worse, not better since his early promise. Given his age he's still got decent value, so sell and fund someone that can actually score goals. Lets just admit he's been a flop, can't get them right all the time and every club makes transfer mistakes, Nunez is one of ours.
We’re a lot less gung ho under slot than Klopp though. I don’t think kdb legs have gone either - he’s looked fine later part of season when he’s finally been fit. either way I don’t think we really are interested in him.
Neither. Too injured and expensive. Too expensive. Wages can be a killer Both too short term with no resale value
Yeah... Although if rumours of TAA being offered over £250kpw are true... Would seem odd if not willing to at least offer KDB the same.
I wasn't talking about height but his body overall. Males peak muscle mass building is between ages 18-25. Bradley is still developing.
Which matters for transfers, not for salary. Could argue that KDB being the better player should get a higher salary. It's only contract fees which matter the age.
At 26 TAA is prime, At 33 KDB is on the decline Age matters no matter what in sport. How many games is the older player going to actually play, are they a regular starter over someone younger and fitter, what kind of performance are they likely to produce (ie how much running do you want etc). All about risk and at 26 Trent is/would have been a lower risk as he is coming into prime years for a sportsman. KDB being 33 is a high risk cause you are unsure as to his decline and physical condition (even if he hadn't spent the last two years injured). Can you afford to pay 250k to a player that may or may not be fit or can't manage more than 1 game a week. Your better argument would have been Salah.
In the end. Kdb is not free. There's a massive signing on fee, agent fee and wage. Buy a22 year old. Show the moneybags skills
Of course age still matters. But your thinking transfer fee and wages are two separate things when they aren't; the club will be seeing it as a overall package, fee and wages, agent fee, etc all combined.
I can't see us doing this as the usual suspects are out talking about sensible not lavish spending (ornstein)
Liverpool have 'spoken to the representatives' of Rodrygo who is open to a move to the PL. Chelsea it is then
Best thing is see if alisson thinks he is a decent guy and forget real. If he's willing to work, is flexible to play left and right and a decent dude then go ahead. No better man to judge than big al.
I would like to talk about the concept of building a side around key players in the context of where we are at now. in some way you might say klopp built a side around firmino. He stuck him at 9, put mane on the right then moved him to the left and then added salah. Firmino at 9 was the centre of allow the speed to go beyond. Klopp had to be convinced to have a 6, then we improved massively. When vvd arrived the defence improved. When alission arrived the package was complete. Is slot a 4231 man? Seems so. Is he going to build around Szoboszlai? Is he going to build around a striker? We obviously can't build around vvd or salah.
