Been bingeing the new CarSeat Headrest album today - love Will Toledos work. Been listening to him since he was solo and knocking stuff up in his bedroom and posting it on Bandcamp - now he's got a full band going with him. Heard him interviewed on 6Music last night, the album is a kind of rock opera, although the songs don't tell an actual story. It's based on a fictional US College campus, and each sing is a different student telling their story. Some of it is stunning - I've posted one of the shorter ones as there's several tracks over ten minutes long... Thought I had the vinyl on pre-order, but think it's getting delivered when the Beta Band re-release comes out. Hope he comes to the UK for shows, not seen him since before Lockdown and he now suffers from severe Long Covid and can only do short tours...I get it, Mrs SM still struggling at times
