We have to sell mess.lier he will mess up in a vital game in the premier league in the near future if we keep him , I am certain of that as the pressure of the premier league will get to him and also the defenders don't trust him so let's not make their jobs harder , darlow coped really well at end of season in goals. I'm not a one for handpicking supposedly top Championship players for a pursuit of the Prem League. is there any you like ? Maybe we could nab a keeper, but for outfield players I see very little. The only one outside the top 3 I've really said yeah decent very decent was that winger from Pompey Murphy I've thought he was a real handful at fratton Park. I really hope this season we go with tried and tested. Foreign players from foreign leagues take time and do we have that time? We need to build a core again and work on it each season. Let's be honest here we have nobody in our squad tried and tested for the next push. We have some sort of core in Ampadu,Rodon,Bogle,Tananka,James but Ampadu,Rodon not classed as good enough from their respected Prem Clubs. Bogle struggled in a poor Blunts side Tananka untried. James was moved on by us to Fulham on loan and they decided he was not good enough to keep a hold of. Are we really that far behind or blinkered because they play for us in thinking these players are our core after a good season or so in the championship? yes some have improved and we have to start somewhere but none of these were wanted. even Soloman. its frightening to even think about it that our so called core have not been wanted.
A world class coach would keep our current squad up, with only two or three additions imo. But we’re not going down that route so transfer strategy needs to be spot on.

That's why they all classed as "world class" because they don't touch anything out their comfort zone. Always said put them in division one or two for a season lets see how good they really are. we can all manage the top top players because they basically do the job for you. As Forza said it should be the challenge they look for. making players into better players. working a formation and finding solutions that can play against teams and players that are better than you that makes you World class.. not going into nearly every game as favorites having 80% possesion and winning games with 2 of there 18 key players missing. also finding players off the radar not just saying i want him pay 80 Million go get him.
4 or 5 solid additions is more important than trying to build a new squad. A keeper. A left back. A centre half. A 10. A striker. Add those to the current squad and it should be good enough.
I agree, if we have the reported £150m war chest, then get 5 top players for that, genuine £30m players, not what their agents think theyre worth, all starters not squad players. Only problem is attracting those players to a newly promoted team, they tend to come second season, especially in those numbers
