https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/articles/cly5y392dyko BBC trying to help their embarrassment. just a joke y'know.
Spurs are more than capable of losing 2-0 tonight on that artificial pitch. 13/2 on the Norwegians to qualify is good value imo.
Did he really? It's stuff like that which would concern me if I was an Arsenal fan. They've got a very good team who are certainly capable of not just winning things but playing good football by doing so. This season they've fallen back onto fairly boring stuff and playing for set peices (the kind of plays that Arteta would have been crying about other teams doing in the past and saying it wasn't football) and that's acceptable if it yields results, it hasn't. To improve they need to accept their failings, identify what needs to change and make the tough decisions. I just don't think Arteta has that in him, whatever people may say about Haaland he was absolutely right about Arteta, the guy lacks any humility whatsoever. His comments are a bit out of touch at the best of times but in the last week he's just come across as a bit of a clown.
Said it at the end of last season. It's clear they'll never win one of the big two trophies under Arteta.
I thought about this last night when I seen the Spurs players complaining about the pitch. They’ve got a bad mentality to be doing that.
Yeah it was a ridiculous comment. The truth is PSG won’t believe how comfortable they were in that tie. They never at any point looked in danger of going out and it looked easy for them, especially at the Emirates. I wonder if Arteta is having a breakdown because lately he’s coming across as unhinged and out of touch with reality.
Just think he's one of those very blinkered individuals who only sees things from an 'us' perspective without being able to weigh in the 'them' analytically ...
Artificial pitches, going right back to my experiences, are no real problem for more technically gifted players - more problematic for those more athletic or 'robust' with lesser technical ability ... Spurs are more the former, indeed quite prone to being rather delicate fannies ... so, provided they have had the opportunity to train on the pitch and weigh up how the ball will bounce, they really have no excuses ...
Arteta isn't going anywhere. They will give him at least one more season. They have to. They will have identified player targets for the summer and everything. No way they sack him imo. Ange on the other hand, needs to go. Even if Spurs win the Europa, he needs **** canning. Clearly not good enough for the PL.
