Glad to see Jorginho and Calafiori on the bench to give us a bit better depth.

    Gutted for the lads!
Superb first half albeit needed a slice of luck and a someone in the box with a clinical finish!
Certainly do not deserve to be 1-0 down.. COYG!!

Bored of dominating games and conceding so easily. Arteta has one more year from me to resolve the problems.

FT. 2-1 PSG. 3-1 on aggregate. Arsenal are out at the semi-final stage of the Champions League. Disappointing.

We didn't actually play badly at all - we outplayed them in many parts - and we created a lot more than we did in the first leg. The issue is, we don't have match-winning quality outside of Saka. And in cup competitions, performances don't matter so much; results do. It's important to have game breakers and players who can create something out of very little. That Fabian Ruiz goal for example, who do we have in our team that could do that? I don't think there is anyone.

To not prioritise getting an attacker or two in the last two windows is unforgivable. We could have actually done something this year if we'd had one or two forwards to rely on. It's insane to me the club have just let another season slip away.

5 years of no silverware now. We need to deliver next season. NO excuses at all.

One stat from tonight makes our inefficiencies glaringly obvious yet again!

Real shame that. (I think we would beat Inter as well.)

Tactically I actually think Arteta got it right. Our midfield dominated territory, created more than enough chances but just couldn't convert.

We are crying out for more goalscorers in the squad.

Berta has to address this in the coming weeks

At this level, it is so often the case that games are won or lost through individual moments of quality or incompetence. Their first goal was class. Your defending for their second was almost as bad as ours - no idea what Partey was trying to do on the edge of his own box. Then Saka's miss at a crucial time.

Those are the moments that define games when the overall level is so high.

Mikel Arteta says Arsenal were the best team in the Champions League this season, despite losing their semi-final to Paris St-Germain.

"I am very proud of the players, 100% I don't think there's been a better team [than Arsenal] in the competition from what I have seen, but we are out.

Well yeah but it was also deflected so there's a limit to how much class you can assign to it.

Partey shows how important his position is but he needs to not be the person that fills that role from now on. Not least the obvious, but also his bozo moments happen every now and then (still remember his stupidity at being robbed by Rice a couple of years ago at West Ham). Plus he's getting on a bit and is not reliable fitness-wise. Hopefully the Zubi rumours are true.

But my word we need goal threats. Plus we need Odegaard to get his surgery so he can get back to how he used to be.

We've learnt quite a lot in this Champions League run IMO.

Even with the injuries our midfield can hang with anyones. And this is with a not 100% fit Odegaard. Therefore we need to extend Parteys deal - the can maintain this level for another Season I'm sure.
We have Nwaneri and Dowman coming through also.

Our defence can manage even with injuries to key players. Calfiori, White and Kiwior give us good depth - we should probably rotate more in all honesty.

It's the front three that Arteta doesn't quite get right. Saka is elite so the RWF is sorted.

However CF/False 9 - we need higher quality options. Makes me wonder if Arteta should just bite the bullet and go in big for Isak. Him or Sesko are probably the best profile for us - not sure if Sesko is at the level yet but he is steadily improving year on year.

and LWF honestly we need an upgrade on Martinelli & Trossard. When PSG or Barca run at you they have three attacking players of similar quality. They can hurt you from either side - If you can double up and stop Saka/Timber, there's not a lot of danger coming from the other wing. I would keep Martinelli sell Trossard and add someone of a higher calibre. (they need pace)
