Is it me or have several predicted an attendance higher than our maximum, even allowing no empty seats for segregation?
Norwich 3 - 2 Newcastle (Would love the clean sheet Kickitoff but just cannot see it happening!) Jackson (I am working on the premise that whoever I pick never scores so hopefully our starting XI wont get jinxed by my prediction!) Attendance: 26,759
Depends on whether Coloccini is fit and who plays up front for Newcastle. I would say. Norwich 2 Newcastle 3 Pilkington, Morison for Norwich Ba, Ben Arfa and Cabaye for Newcastle.
Are these canaries aware of our CB's issues? Because they I would understand their predictions, but If they didn't know about our defensive issues, I reckon they're be a bit deluded!
It's common knowledge that Taylor is out and Coloccini is 50/50! Also we believe in our team's capabilities
I agree. Our team isn't built around defending. Our first-choice back 5 HELPED get us up towards the CL spots, but with the two CBs out, I think it will bring our defensive capabilities to around that of Norwich's. I'm not taking anything away from Norwich, but our first-choice back 5 was one of the best defences in the season (alongside Man City) up until a week or two ago, so with some replacements it's obviously going to take a downturn, but it certainly isn't going from being superb to being absolute dross. I'm not sure where so much confidence is coming from as we, in my opinion, have an equal defence, but a stronger midfield and stronger attack, whilst both our respective managers have got our teams very well organised. Our first choice CBs may be out, but the midfield is still strong and the attack force is still there too. It's going to be a tight game. I'd forgive some supporters for predicting a Norwich win as they have a shout, but these predictions which involve us not scoring a single goal are a bit strange.
you should appreciate some outside input considering your board only has a handful of fans. Toon 3 Norwich 1 Ba (2) Ameobi We won't play too well but should have a quiet night.
We should be fine. Krul Simpson Raylor Obertan Cabaye Jonas Ben Arfa Ba POSSIBLY Coloccini. That's 8 or 9 first choice players in there, with the back-up at an OK level. At least we have yet to resort to playing anyone out of position, which is a sign of when things are really stretched. The critical point is that Obertan, Cabaye, Jonas, Ben Arfa and Ba are all very good attack-wise, and the pace and creativity should certainly cause problems. We're due a few goals considering that we've had to put up with arguably the three best defences in the entire league over the past 3 weeks. No disrespect to Norwich, but it'll be nice to come up against a defence which isn't so ****ing hard to break down compared to the top 4 elites.
