... is 'absolutely top secret' according to the BBC.

The cardinals are confined to the Vatican, with no contact from the outside world and no information will emerge until the election which could go on for days, 'So let's go LIVE to the Vatican and our Rome correspondent Sarah Rainsford' <laugh>

This is the BBC who always want more money and send aggressive 'Final Demand' letters to pensioners.

They could just as easily have a big photo of the outside of the Vatican and say exactly the same thing.

They do this all the time and the waste is enormous,
"I'm standing outside a hospital where, in one of the many rooms you can see behind me, the Queen is recovering from having a bunion removed."

Never understood this costly waste. In your example , someone suddenly gains the title of '' our Bunion Correspondent'' . Haven't seen for a long time now to be fair, but they there were times when someone had been murdered and '' the family have asked for privacy at this time -- David is outside the house and as you can see the curtains are closed and only close family members have entered today'' Totally disrespectful

It's like when a reporter stands outside the house of an MP for hours knowing they'll refuse to answer the shouted questions ...

... then they jump into a waiting car while photographers run alongside trying to take photos <laugh>

I've said this for ages Smug, if someone breaks a fingernail in Ankara the BBC will have a correspondent in residence reporting it, whilst they fly over their star presenter.
A complete waste of licence payers money. Whatever happened to the library pictures we used to see during news broadcasts from the studio.

BBC News should cut the budget for all unnecessary expenses until they look like Brass Eye, then publish their messed up finances when social media protests.

Not the BBC, but has there ever been a picture of a criminal inside a prison van - taken at 10 miles an hour , unfocused on a shaky high held camera through a little blacked out window ?

No but I’ve seen a few photographers go arse over tit …

… so I think it should be encouraged.

Sadly the advent of AI will stop a lot of this, reporters and photographers will just be able to knock stuff up on their laptops without leaving the house.
