Once again it’s congratulations to Arlyman, champion in his debut season. Great effort , especially over the run in.

Last season, the lead changed 18 times, but this year was a season of 3 halves. Backofthe Net set the early pace staying top for 17 consecutive weeks, was always there or thereabouts ending 5th, Riever, eventual runner up took up the reigns for 13 weeks, before Arlyman set out his stall for the final 11 weeks. Arlyman and Blond share most weekly winner/joint winner with 6 each-Flanders LD19 Riever and Will topped the bunch on 5 of the weeks. 5 anonymous players never made it.

Before the Years’ Awards, the Apr/May awards are:-

    Manager Apr/May Snaggy - huge 75 points

Goal of the Month LD19 - best correct scores of the few who got 1 guest score

SAFC Young Player - Shared, Jack & Mikki

    2024/25 AWARDS

Manager of the Year -- Arlyman

Goal of the Year -- Vince (amazing 9 guests!) ( 3 monthly awards)

SAFC Young Player-- Jack , 11 of our scores correct

Riever won the MrRAWhite Memorial Cup.

Some great individual efforts there and as a team -----

Our win % -- we remain quite constant

    22/23 23/24 24/25
    High 53.5 66.7 59.8
    Low 19.3 18.5 27.0
    Ave 38.6 42.5 40.5

Guest Score however - we are finding them troublesome

    22/23 9.2 23/24 9.2 24/25 6.3

    Sequences

Longest win – Riever 6 (MD 39-45) Longest Draw 4 (too many to list) Longest loss – remarkably just 4 (won’t say name or he may set an army on me)

Longest unbeaten run 24 (MD14-37) Arlyman --- only 2 defeats all season !

Longest winless run 12 I’ll save the blushes of the two, lets just say the runs are reflected in final position.

Thankyou as always to Gordon for the assurance that his checkerising is covering in the background

It remains my pleasure to enjoy doing this , hope to see you all next season. Starts 8th August --- or -- dare we believe it’ll be the later 16th Aug start for the Premiership ?

Enjoy the playoffs ( 2nd leg in Lanzarote for me) and have a great (albeit football lacking ) summer

    <cheers><cheers><cheers><cheers><cheers><cheers><cheers><cheers><cheers><cheers><cheers><cheers><cheers><cheers><cheers><cheers>

You can't be referring to me, but what's a winless run? (Genuine)

Great write up Gelders Pie for a great season!

I was pleased to hang in there at the end as this is a really hard game and I doubt I'll ever get the chance to win again! I will take the beginners luck, but our win rates make me please I didn't have any money on my predictions!

Thanks again and see you all on August 16th.

    Well done @Arlyman <applause><applause><applause>

Over the moon with 3rd, last time I came 3rd in anything, only 3 entered!!
    Knew I'd had a good run-in, but 75 points...bloody hell

Cheers for all your efforts @gelders pie & @Gordon Armstrong, really enjoyed doing this over the season, so very much appreciated.
