Both swaps two laps too late. At least.

I missed the start, so that and the engine blows were the only interesting things I got to see, though I did see a replay of Max out-braking himself and Piastri coasting passed

I think Lewis is getting a bit more comfortable in Ferrari and starting to push them in areas they need to improve. Hopefully now he and Charles are questioning strat calls they will finally realise they need to change their procedures to make decisive fast calls.

Other than McLaren having so much more speed than the others it wasn't a bad race. Some good battles.

4 wins out of 5 for Piastri then. Looking very much like a champion now.

Norris badly needs to put a stop to that in Imola, otherwise we'll need to start using the word "dominant". In fairness his pace was good today, with the main issue being that he still seems to the only person in the world that believes it's possible to be on the outside of Max Verstappen through a corner.

yeah, tbf the Sainz/Leclerc/Hamilton battle was decent, even though Brundle thought it was Albon.

I feel like a career change, and Ferrari clearly have some openings.

The consistency of ineptitude is unparalleled.

Working at Ferrari you`d get plenty of invitations to “have a tea break”.

They can't react, they can't predict, they can't read. It's just bonkers all around.

I'll take the job if they like. :)

Verstappen definitely doesn't like English drivers overtaking him, he definitely trys harder against Norris,Russel and Hamilton.

I don't know, Piastri is just a bit wiser to Max, he knows Max will attempt to wreck anyone who tries a move now he doesn't have the fastest car, so Piastri braked a bit earlier to take the undercut when Max inevitably tried to crash into a car that wasn't there.

I enjoyed the first 20 laps, good hard racing right up to, but not over the line IMHO.

Despite Piastri extending his lead in the championship, I think it was a positive weekend for Norris in the sense that the pace was there and it wouldn’t have taken much being different for him to have come away with the win. Equally a good weekend for Piastri where he took advantage of the opportunities that came his way.

Despite a couple of disappointing races on paper failing to convert some excellent grid spots - Kimi should have learned a lot about life at the sharp end of the grid and it will be interesting to see how he builds on that as we enter the European season on tracks where he should have greater familiarity. Imola is a great next stop on the tour from his perspective.

This race was particularly hard for the rookies, with the thermal degradation of the tires being so difficult to manage (unless you’re in a McLaren) so in that context I felt Hadjar was again impressive, but looking at Doohan and with a quarter of the season being done now, I wouldn’t be surprised if we start hearing about Colapinto taking that seat again - especially with Monaco and it’s commercial implications being only 3 weeks away.

Williams could justifiably claim to be the fourth fastest team this weekend, some interesting insight from Sainz that they think they have some low hanging fruit that would consolidate that, but that they are planning to stick to the plan of focusing on 2026. Although I understand that decision, I really hope this doesn’t become a case of missing out on an opportunity hoping for something that’s not realised later.

Final word reserved for Hamilton’s radio. I’ve never been a huge fan of his personality, but whilst the “tea break” quote got all the attention, it was “Sainz 1.2s behind”, “Do you want me to let him by too?” that I found most amusing. <laugh>
