Once Luton were 3-1 that was a good game to watch and we scored from a corner amazing think both sides were happy at 2 all worked a treat, celebrations all round you’ll need to defend better against the Blunts My match thing will be on tomorrow
Redprintt, if that was Vyner who had been so easily beaten for the header, it would be a different story, because it’s Dickie, you always blame someone else.
O'leary was beaten to a ball three metres off the goal line. O'leary needs to be bolder and stronger. The opponents are doing very little to pin him to his goal line. In the second half O'leary punched a very similar corner.
O’Leary should have claimed the ball not relied on Dickie, it’s the job of any decent keeper He just shows a lack of command of his own penalty area again and his defenders probably don’t have much confidence in what he is, or isn’t going to do And yet again he’s cost us a goal
Right guys my match thing on our site, best of luck against those strange Yorkshire folks, if it had been Sunderland possibly may have had a better chance, but enjoy
Supcon and 1For. Of course the scorer 'got the jump' on Dickie but you miss the salient factor. Anyway, the 46 league season is over. Do you or anyone know whether Rob Atkinson is now available for selection, he's a far better left sided CH than anyone available and would obviously provide proper balance in a back 3.
Usually the loan is until the end of May to stop that happening. We could do with him as that third CB, we have been vulnerable there the last few games.
From the match report on the BBC website. Maybe the reporter doesn’t get it either, hey.. For me, the reporter gets it spot on!!
nah he doesnt watching City each week if you drop the ball in the box theres no commanding between the sticks so dropping it in gives the oppo a chance. this was well in the six yad box and O'leary still doesnt boss it. please log in to view this image
I saw that on the internet. I admit I didn’t pick it up at the time and I was there - neither did the officials - or our own players - they didn’t seem to protest. I’m surprised Max didn’t throw a fit - he was being blatantly impeded. I can’t understand how that went unnoticed - it’s pretty clear from the footage.
Sky Sports highlights - a bit longer than the YouTube highlights - and the replay from a different angle clearly shows the offside - although the TV pundits don’t mention it…… https://www.skysports.com/football/...stol-city-2-2-preston-championship-highlights
To be honest I thought he may have been a fraction offside but given some of the horrors we have had this season, maybe we were due one
It evens itself out and both teams and fans are happy If we’d needed the win and failed to qualify because of the draw I might have felt differently
No, loans players are out till June. Likewise Earthy is allowed to play. One thing a lot of people are forgetting with Max which the opposition are not forgetting. Is he’s injured and playing on pain injections. He is having a op in the summer (like Williams and Twine are) Put a player in front of Max at corners he is further restricted in his movement. If I was Max I would have gone down as the ball was kicked, and gave the ref something to think about.
Isn’t impeding the GK classed as ‘interfering with play’? I know it doesn’t matter now but just wondering….?
Its interfering with the opponent - Interfering with the ability to play the ball, and line of vision.
Happens every week at every game. Blocking outfield players at set pieces is just the same. Sometimes it's picked up by refs but usually missed.
Yes but given the refs view probably restricted, so he should have fallen on the flight of the ball if he knows he ain’t getting free. VAR would have picked it up, but I don’t want to go through celebrating a goal to find the player is a hairs width off side all the time. So if we go up, that is one thing I am not looking forward too.
