What exactly is happening in Scotland? Why have they cut the league in half?

When my lot were in L1 (L2 now lol) we had a player that went to a scottish premier club, played every game for them, that gives you a true idea of the level there.

 

You’ve definitely had worse right-backs than him in that time though.
