Actually no I'm basing it on getting Botman in at cb and trying to replace Joelintons strength in the middle because we've missed that when he's been unavailable. I've no problem with Willock or Miley starting, but neither has what I'm concerned about. Schar is actually a capable midfield player and has played there before in his career for club and Country.
Of the two I tend to agree, but Willock has a bit of pace, can carry the ball well, and he's more experienced. It'll be willock for these reasons I think.
Btw as good as Trippier has been I think we're going to have serious problems with mitoma today. Anyone that's a little bit shifty and good on the ball is what we can't seem to handle. Minteh the same applies and Gruda. These 3 are my concern. I've seen people looking at Brightons form, but they've had cms playing at cb, mitoma injured, and that's all cleared up now.
Me too. He’s a better midfielder than Willock. Willock is good at running with the ball mind. I am nervous about today.
I'm not saying he's better than Willock. I think Willock needs time to get over all his fitness issues. But I think his pace in last 20 minutes will be useful if we need it.
Three points today would be a huge step but a point today also keeps it in our hands! Just don’t lose!
Yes you’re quite right he does mostly play down the left. Hes a very good player aswell with pace so yes a big concern with trippier.
This game is a big opportunity and not must win, but the Chelsea game is must win. It's this reason why I'm saying they need to grab hold of the situation, because 3 clubs will when they get the opportunity, and that will be that... Today Newcastle get theirs and they won't get many now.
Baleba will be back in cm Today and he's a very good player. Actually I'm beginning to think he might have been the type to deal with Joelinton, and Willock might in fact be the better option. We'll see.
For me it’s one of them games where in the past we would always fluff our lines. But a draw today wouldn’t be a bad result. Just don’t lose.
Absolutely, if you take the league cup away and look at how well the lads have dealt with that middle order, it becomes apparent they have an issue getting results in these fixtures. It's the Bournemouths, Fulhams, and Brightons that they cannot seem to cope with, and we got thumped at Brentford away. Hopefully it's because they turned up and weren't up for it enough, rather than having troubles coping with their styles of play.
