I literally speak to some of the poorest people in the city on a daily basis. I teach their children. Hell, in some cases I feed their children. To say I'm out of touch is a bit much, to be frank.

I know why there's support for Reform, it's the same reason Trump won again. Everybody always wants change, that's why populism works out so well. What people don't tend to do, Brexit included, is source the reasons for the problems from actual, reliable places and instead allow themselves to be bought in by the emotional, heartstring tugging promises because they match the grievances they have.

Whether Brexit was what people wanted or not is irrelevant, it wasn't what they said was going to happen. The same people behind Brexit are literally the Reform party minus Steve Bannon and I've yet to see any actual evidence that there won't be a repeat performance, so forgive me for thinking that they're just on the con again.

It's us who suffer these incompetencies, we pay the price and while Labour are borking it big time, I don't see any way that Nigel Farage, an investment banker, is going to do anything to uplift the people I see everyday out of poverty.

I teach 4 year olds you twonk. Teachers aren't allowed to air their political alignments or give influence one way or the other, it's against teacher standards and people would lose their jobs en masse if it was happening on the scale people assume it is.

    Its populism
    Thats the whole problem

Its what pulls on peoples emotions and its far easier to digest in bitesize segments

Than is it to actually discuss complex subjects

Im not sure it will ever change in that sense which is a shame

Humans are very emotional and irrational creatures

There’s certainly a left wing slant in our education system. That’s because most university educated people are left leaning and you can’t be a teacher without a degree I don’t believe. There’s certainly no indoctrination going on though.
As for Luke Campbell and reform? Well anyone with a brain cell should be suitably embarrassed if they voted for the frauds. Im embarrassed for my city and I’ve lived away for 11 years.

The abuse of postal voting is bad enough, this would take it to a whole other level, i think some sort of PR would be a step in the right direction then if people can't be bothered to vote, it's on them who ever ends up in power.

Genuine question, what is it parents in those areas are concerned with/complaining about?

It was decent thread up until the last couple of pages (so thanks for that) and it’s almost game time, so time to call it a day. <ok>
