Here are the policies for people To get acquainted with https://www.telegraph.co.uk/politic...yGjQMVZkZBAh2CTQ_zEAAYASAAEgLjT_D_BwE#defence Some interesting ones on Health and Migration. 50% ownership of utilities could be 100%. I do like the stop on benefits for new arrivals to these shores as we can’t build the infrastructure to cope with illegal immigration. Not keen on all of them but some good ones. I’m not sure if they could fund all the policies though. What I’m really enjoying is the arrogant career politicians of both Labour and Conservatives getting a shoeing because they have treated the electorate with distain for too long. It’s almost like they’re two sides of the same coin and some other force is actually in control regardless of which party is in power.
Just guessing but I’d think it’s the boats that are the main issue for people and that's where I’m struggling tbh. I don’t know what Farage’s solution is, has he said?
I said earlier there are a couple of Reform policies I agree with but they have absolutely no idea how they can afford these changes. Increase certain budgets, reduce corporation tax and other random taxes, build more nuclear power stations etc etc. That's the issue with anyone not in power, just like Labour before they got in. Anyone believing even half of these policies would come true are living in a fantasy land.
His solution is to return them to France, it’s there for all to see on Reform UK website. I think there would be a lot of red tape to be cut for him to do it mind. Smug, if me or you were to walk through customs without showing our passports we would be rightly arrested then investigated. They are doing basically that at Dover everyday !We need immigration but only if it suits us
Scraping net zero is one for a lot of people and obviously the boats which whether he can 'walk the walk' will remain to be seen but he is definitely 'talking the talk' on the issue unlike others, which definitely is a big attraction for a lot of voters. Leaving the ECHR will be first step.
One of Farage's main policies is and always has been privatisation of the NHS. The rest is populist spiel, telling people what they want to hear just to get power/votes but having no solution to these things. He is a vile, nasty dangerous man. Be careful what you wish for. Bonko is a saint compared to Farage.
It’s about time we started contributing to our own health. I’m not a Labour voter though so I don’t expect everything for free.
He can't is the concise answer. Or France would have sent them back to wherever they came to France from.
Well done. They should do it here too - then the 30-35% who didn't bother to vote can't complain about the outcome
No idea hence my red tape comment. France is more than happy to let them leave their shores though, that tells you everything They won’t take them back without a struggle
They are not French. France has no responsibility or duty of care for them. They then would be immigrants from Britain to France.
And that's where my confusion lies mate. It’s absolutely impossible to take the boat people to France, not to mention illegal under conventional and maritime law. The Royal Navy can’t be used, France simply wouldn’t allow them to land. I’m sure this is actually a ‘one policy party’ where people are voting for a plan that hasn’t been explained and something than can’t actually happen.
Why they actually want to get here is what needs addressing, then they won’t cross many safe countries borders to get here. Free board and lodgings needs to stop, no benefits for 5 years is definitely a deterrent. Anyway, my soap box is back under the stairs, time to find a pub to watch the lads in Stormy Cyprus Enjoy the match
The crime rate would go through the roof mate Enjoy your beer and the match … … we’ll sort out the immigration issue another day
I reckon he did an interview on the bbc the other day but I can’t remember what he said. Probably bollocks anyway.
I can see a business opportunity here. The immigrants get to France. They get in a boat and land on the south coast of England. From there they are loaded straight onto a bigger boat along with the boat they arrived on. The bigger boat takes them back to the French coast and drops them off. And repeat. It’s a license to print money…
