Reform don’t have any form of credible policy. How on earth is it real change? They have nothing outside of “stopping the boats”

Boris chased out of office? And you’re asking who is rewriting history? Boris and his cabinet should all be in prison

Boris had a birthday cake and should be in prison - arf - Rayner fiddled her tax return, Reeves lied on her cv, Lammy thinks a man can have a Cervix and Starmer accepted £100k in gifts for access to Parliament to someone he was caught on cctv with

Those seem entirely different points and questions.

I’m not rewriting history when I said Brexit wasn’t about reducing the numbers of ‘illegal’ immigrants, because unless I’ve missed something there was nothing we couldn’t do before Brexit about it that we could do after it, and actually Brexit was always going to reduce our options to deal with it because it removed the option to send them back to the EU country they came from. I suppose technically that wasn’t a given but it was pretty obvious and was widely predicted prior to the vote.
Or have I missed something on that?

Brexit was about taking control of our borders from legal, at the time, immigration from EU countries though. Absolutely the case, although not what you said, and we have done that. EU people can’t simply move here…you won.

I don’t know any remainers who haven’t accepted the result. It happened. They might not like it, but you can’t not accept it’s happened.

Not sure what the stability of the country now has to do with my original point? It’s less stable.
There’s a good argument that it’s less stable because of Brexit, but again that wasn’t my point.

You said it was about stopping illegal immigration. I said it wasn’t and explained why.

Can you explain why it was?

No they should be in prison for funnelling public funds in the billions to their pals. Keep your head in the sand thinking Reform have your interests at heart

And Blair should be serving time for taking this country into an illegal war based on lies which kick started the present chaos in the Middle East and all this 'persecution' the illegal immigrants are fleeing from.

Correct me if I'm wrong but that is based on the total number of council seats, do you have a chart of the actual number of seats up for election on Thursday and how many of those each party won.

And there you go. What an utterly ridiculous, uninformed, tone deaf and blind statement. You absolutely prove a point in my post.

To be fair to him I think he’s actually partially right here, even if he was presenting it as something else, and the community note is at least partially wrong.

The Mayor can raise a precept (so directly increase your tax, and I think collected through your Council Tax in the same way the Police precept is) which they can then spend on things like delivering their Transport Plan.

I think saying he wouldn’t works well to get elected, but then means he has one less tool in his armoury to deliver what he says he will deliver.

I’m less sure about Business Rates though. I don’t think they can raise them but I haven’t really looked.
