For the life of me i can see that first cd single in my minds eye but can't remember who it was. Ruby Turner maybe? Me and the ex Mrs WBA2 suffered a burglary back in the day when we lived in Hampstead and had all my cd's nicked sadly As for cd's in daily use, I run classic (old) cars so cd's - and cassettes!! - are a daily necessity, The Story of the Clash Vol 1 doing the rounds, alternated with Nick Cave's Push the Sky Away Anyway, I do have a few of those half sized cd's that you needed to put a plastic 'expansion' bit around to play them, remember those? One of those survivors was this beauty -
got 20 or so cds at a charity book fair on sunday fill a banana box for $30 amazing how much weight you can get into one of those things
