Whites Chairman Paraag Marathe has sanctioned a reorganisation aimed at strengthening the club's leadership ahead of a crucial summer. Robbie Evans, formerly chief strategy officer, steps into the role of Managing Director, and will also oversee football operations. Adam Underwood, who previously served as head of football operations, has been promoted to Sporting Director. These appointments signal a fresh direction for the club's leadership. The changes follow the announcement of Angus Kinnear's departure as chief executive at the end of the season. While Peter McCormick was initially appointed executive vice chairman, Marathe has moved decisively to reshape the boardroom further. Alongside Evans and Underwood, Morrie Eisenberg, previously chief operating officer, will now serve as chief business officer, and Fay Greer, formerly finance director, has been promoted to chief financial officer. Evans and Underwood will bear much of the responsibility in the club’s transition. Evans brings a diverse background to the role, having joined Leeds United in 2023 after 11 years with medical genetics company Invitae. Before that, he gained experience in strategic planning with the San Francisco 49ers. At Leeds, Evans has been responsible for overseeing the recruitment and football analytics departments. Underwood's promotion is a testament to his long-standing commitment to Leeds United. He progressed through the ranks, serving as academy manager for over eight years before assuming the role of head of football operations in July 2023, coinciding with the takeover by 49ers Enterprises. Having worked closely with outgoing football advisor Nick Hammond, Underwood will lead the club's player trading activities this summer.
