Burton won 2-1. Does that mean they are down then? I might be tempted to pop down the County Ground as a home fan next season if I haven’t got anything else on…!!
"Some would argue" - Claim made on Bristol City owner Steve Lansdown https://footballleagueworld.co.uk/claim-made-on-bristol-city-owner-steve-lansdown/
They need Burton to lose their final 2 games and need to overturn a 14 goal inferior goal difference at Blackpool in their final game A point for Burton again Wigan on Tuesday will send Rovers back to the basement division
no interest in cardiff at all, but at the same time i would get no pleasure in seeing rovers relegated, firstly i am a proud bristolian and want our city and clubs to do as well as possible and if that sounds a little patronising to the rovers well yes your probably right, sure they will live with it though,
I honestly could not give you the name of any current 'Gashead' player, I don't even know who the manager is, if they get relegated, I'm sorry but to me it's of no consequence, with regard to Cardiff, hard luck, I wish Plymouth have more luck but if they fail, life carries on..
I'll miss Clingo because he is a real gent, Brizzle Bluebird for his skill, the rest I have little knowledge..
I’m sure we’ll see something from them - particularly if we DO get to the Prem and start losing games!!!!!!
Guys I have 1 ticket available for the Preston game. I bought 3 off OTIB because the guy wanted to sell as a group but we only needed 2 for me and Mrs R&W. PM me if you’re interested. It’s in the lower Lansdown. I’m offering on here first but I’ll go to OTIB if nobody wants it. £40 (which is what I paid)
From ‘Football Away Days’ https://www.facebook.com/share/1BhNFY7XWy/?mibextid=wwXIfr The final day of the Championship season is shaping up to be an all-time classic. With every match kicking off at 12:30 on Saturday, the stakes couldn’t be higher — promotion, play-offs, and relegation all hang in the balance. Bristol City (5th, 67 pts, +4 GD) host Preston (20th, 49 pts, -11 GD) in a must-win for both sides. City need a result to secure a play-off spot, while Preston must take all three points to guarantee survival. Burnley (2nd, 97 pts, +51 GD) welcome Millwall (7th, 67 pts, 0 GD) to Turf Moor. Burnley are chasing the title and need a win plus a Leeds slip. Millwall, meanwhile, must win to have any hope of sneaking into the play-offs. Coventry (6th, 66 pts, +4 GD) face Middlesbrough (9th, 64 pts, +10 GD) in another huge clash. A win should be enough for Coventry to hold onto their play-off place — unless Millwall go on a goal-scoring rampage. Boro, with the best goal difference among the chasing pack, must win and hope results elsewhere fall their way. Derby (19th, 49 pts, -8 GD) play host to Stoke (18th, 50 pts, -17 GD) in a relegation shootout. Derby need a win to be safe — a draw leaves them exposed. Stoke could be dragged into the bottom three if they lose and results elsewhere go against them. Plymouth (23rd, 46 pts, -36 GD) need a miracle — a 14-goal swing against Leeds (1st, 97 pts, +64 GD) — to survive. Leeds, meanwhile, are gunning for 100 points and the title, so they won’t be easing off. Portsmouth (16th, 53 pts, -13 GD) are safe, but their game against Hull (22nd, 48 pts, -10 GD) could decide Hull’s fate. Anything but a win for the Tigers could send them down. Blackburn (8th, 65 pts, +5 GD) travel to play-off-bound Sheffield United needing a win — and hoping that two of Bristol City, Coventry, or Millwall drop points. Luton (21st, 49 pts, -22 GD) visit West Brom, knowing their inferior goal difference leaves no margin for error. Only a win is likely to keep them up. It’s set to be 90 minutes of pure, unfiltered drama — the kind only the Championship can deliver.
