I will be honest I think he's a awful footballer but does know where the net is. it's a case of can you carry him when things are not going well in which we are going to have plenty of next season. for me he isn't or shouldn't be 1st choice. bit brutal I know after his scoring exploits in the championship but not only that he now has to prove it against the big boys something we are still yet to see but that's none of his doing. I'd hang him around the squad give him a chance but not be at a point of relying on him to do the business week in week out.

This is way out there and would never happen but we need experienced PL players who know their way around. Imagine if we could get Ramsdale for 20 million. Bring Tomori back from Milan. 20-30 million. Tammy Abrahams up top from Milan. 20 million. How about McTominay from Napoli. That would be tough to do and expensive at around 40 million at least. That's around 100 million but a seriously strong spine to the team with alot of physicality and PL experience.

Even though that's a strong spine to the team I would very much doubt that would be on the 49ers wish list. They're going for talented unkowns that they're going to get for a bargain for a cheaper English option. I reckon the new 1st choice keeper will be Sam Johnstone as he's cheaper than Ramsdale. There was talk of a Japanese guy at Sporting.

I had to Wiki Fin - I'd seriously question if he is better than Darlow Gus - I think he is very overrated, looks a bit on the chunky side Longstaff - Lots of PL experience, not an exciting prospect but possibly the kind we need to be looking at
Should be looking at Ramsdale or Kelleher, both proven at PL level. Agree about Hamer. Longstaff, our ambition is to survive this season so again I agree, could be a useful signing.
Ramsdale is gonna cost us in the region of £20 million. Hamer will. Probably stay at at Sheffield United if they get up but he's an improvement on Aaronson. Longstaff is the step up we need.
Caoimhín Kelleher from liverpool? Will be 3rd choice next season. Isn't Klopp head of recruitment at redbull? He could pull some strings. What do the Irish lads think of him?
My reservation with Kelleher is that he is someone who has looked decent when deputising for an EPL team with one of the best defences over the last few seasons (top 5 least goals conceded in 5 out of the last 6 seasons). He's played 20 games in the EPL in the last 2 seasons, so is still relatively inexperienced. So I would be hesitant relying upon someone as our first choice keeper, who has not really had an extended run of games and what games he has played in the EPL has been for one of the best teams. For the transfer fee that Liverpool will likely want, I'd prefer to go for a more proven steady keeper, than take the chance on someone who may be a better keeper, but is still relatively unproven.
