Surely a better comparison is to what we've done previously rather than other clubs. Can you recall us ever releasing details in May before when our divisional status has been confirmed?

Maybe it's my memory playing tricks but feels like we've almost always had them out by now.

Anyone think there might be a few people switching from Northam to Chapel this season?

I’m thinking of switching from Itchen to armchair.

Tbf they did say end of April so it would be justified if it was another 4 weeks.

Yeah I reckon so. There's a fair few people near me who are talking about doing it. I'm considering it tbh.

Hopefully the club do a specific relocation window before letting new buy as it being the first renewal after stadium changes you'd expect there to be more people who want to move than normal.

I didn't realise the club had officially given a timeline. In that case, you'd think it will be this week at some point.

Not officially I think but there's people who've been told that by ticket office staff and Alfie House mentioned it too.

Maybe the unexpected relegation threw a curveball in regards to the original plan and costs <laugh>

Yeah I'd imagine there's a few in Chapel near the away fans who will move. Been rough for them this season.

Yeah exactly. Possibly the same on the other side of the away end in kingsland too.

I'd imagine a fair few aren't renewing so hopefully be plenty of choice for people.

Will be worth switching to Chapel just for the Pompey game alone (hopefully).

Definitely need some liveliness at that end of the ground for that match. Otherwise they'll have free reign with a load of silent people sat down either side.

Agree. I think (hope) that more people move to chapel. I’ve sat in both ends this season and for me the fact that there’s no banter between the fans has ruined the atmosphere. Northam is loud when you’re in it but not from the other end. And chapel do not respond to the away fans.

I think Chapel has potential. You don't see the same amount of old buggers in there these days, and I reckon most would be willing to join in if the songs got going. It just has the boring reputation now so no one starts anything.

I remember the days of being poked in the back by a bony finger any time the excitement got you out of your seat. Ffs

<laugh><laugh> Yeah I’ve definitely seen some disapproving looks too. When Portsmouth are in town Chapel is a different place. Like it was for the play-off semi last season but most of the time it’s a chance to have a picnic <whistle> To be fair though this season has not been the best one to test the new layout. Maybe next season we’ll see something different?

Yeah we're moving or we'll jack it in. Some of the stewarding this season has left a lot to be desired. Not enjoyed being on top of the away fans at all.

Separation of Northam and away fans has not been good. Long walk round from town now that corners closed and the Chapel will never compete with away fans like the standing area could

All we can hear most of the time is the bloody away fans and we not that close

Yep. And remember the message from the Fulham fans; we’ve got to say hello to QPR!! (they sung it enough bloody times!)
