This is getting ridiculous now. Why are we dragging our feet on this? As per usual, always seem to be miles behind everyone else. The only thing that could make this more Saints like would be waiting this long and upping the price.
Is it just us that hasn't announced prices for next season? I can't say I pay much attention now i don't live in Southampton.
The two other relegated teams have not only announced but Ipswich renewal window opens today, Leicster renewal window has already been and gone 3 weeks ago and we don't even have an announcement of anything. We knew we were down in January, there is no way they haven't known for months what they were doing.
That's just 2 clubs, it doesn't make much difference if you are relegated or not. I was wondering if all, or almost all, other PL clubs have done so and we are the outliers. If its just Leicester, Ipswich and a few others then I don't see what the issue is.
I really am struggling to understand why it's taking so long for the details to be released. Only thing I can think of is waiting for the new manager to be finalised but that could still be weeks away.
Don’t understand the fuss. The season doesn’t start until the weekend 8-10 August. Should give people plenty of time to get their renewals.
People probably want to know how much they're going to have to pay out for it? The point is for me is what possible reason is there for announcing them so late. Have we ever announced them in May when we've known for ages what division we'll be in?
Wouldn't have thought so. A sale of a club takes months. Manager appointment possible though I guess? My thought for a while was that they'd been hoping for a result to take us past 11 to try and cash in on it. When it was then said it'd be the end of April I thought I was wrong but if they've not done it by end of tomorrow I will start to believe that again. The other option is that a price list with increases was drawn up ready to be released and someone at the club went 'are you ****ing mental' and put a stop to it.
This is the only reason I can think of. Perhaps Rohl is a done deal and we are waiting for their season to end before announcing it.
Just had a quick look and there seem to be quite a few clubs yet to announce. I only checked a handful but Villa, Bournemouth and Fulham haven't released theirs yet.* We have a month left of the season so I think people are reading into it a bit much. I don't think it is related to the manager or club being for sale. *Only had a quick look through their sites but no obvious articles and Google was showing 24/25 season ticket news.
