That was a really nice handicap chase, another good winner for Nicky Henderson. I really am quite impressed by Knockara Beau, he surely is a National type horse?
Mon Parrain is starting to look very disappointing. Today was a fair effort but nothing more. He just seems to have lost all the fluency in his jumping which was the trademark of his success last term. Edit: And appeared a non-stayer too. Outpaced very badly at 2m5f and a non-stayer at 3m. Perhaps he's just nowhere near as good as was promised.
Zen, I disagree I thought his jumping today was fluent and he was making ground up at every fence, despite being asked to run wide of the field. I thought the most impressive thing about him today was his jumping. Thats the good thing about racing, so many opinions!
Mon Parrain just looks like he doesn't finish his races; He seemed to find a bit when Ruby asked but then lost that quite quickly!! Breathing op perhaps?
His jumping last season was nothing short of perfect. He kept skewing today, getting in close and so on. He doesn't look anything like the horse of last season to me . . .
serious gamble on Scotsirish!. i backed him last night at 9/4 luckily enough, small stakes though with the X country course being unfamiliar.
Think he's a cert. Really impressed with him the last day. I got Scotsirish at 11/4 earlier this morning. Now just need it to win . . . !
