I still think they will get through HT 1-0 Pressure on PSG as they are the home team 2-1 Arsenal then through on Pens
To be fair, we didn't really sit back at Madrid, we took the game to them and won 1-2. Last night was poor, we just never really got going and PSG are very well organised and know how to manage games. Not only do they have a really dangerous attacking threat, but Donnaruma in goal is a ****in beast. That said, at least we know what we have to do in Paris. We just have to try and take the game to them. We'll have to take risks, and we could end up getting clobbered. But that's where we are in this tie.
their Ladies perhaps (although sometimes it's difficult to tell tbf) ... or the Community Shield possibly? ... which they were only in because Citeh had done the double?
The Community Shield is a trophy and they won it in 2023. But anyway if you discount that, the last time they won a trophy was the FA Cup on 1st August 2020, so not even 5 years ago, never mind nearly 6 years ago.
Since when do they play the FA Cup Final in August? Us Newcastle fans have been keeping our heads down for so long in the 'When did you last win a trophy?' arguments that we are making elementary mistakes in our new found desire to get involved.
Oh joy ... we won it in 2021 ... but I don't tend to mention it as much as the title or FA Cup, for some reason ... but at least we were in it because we'd won the Cup ... not by finishing second in the League ... also not by a penalty shootout Do you happen to work in PR at the Library Emirates, perchance?
No just took a 5 second trip to Arsenal's Wikipedia page, enough to see that the claim of 6 years without a trophy is bollocks whichever way you want to spin it. Been to the Library once at end of 2017 when we lost 1-0 with that Ozil volley, it was ****.
It obviously isn't prestigious at all, but it is classed as a trophy. Hence for all players/managers/clubs it's included in their list of honours.
OK 5 then PS ... wasn't my claim ... got a bit of soft spot for them ... actually, it's more of a 'second spot' ... 2015/16
