That's the annoying thing isn't it? The tyre pressure monitors on the vehicles keep telling you there's a possible problem. In my own vehicle's case, the thing is so sophisticated that it can become a nuisance when it pops up on the display screen.

I've got graphics that monitor the exact pressures on each wheel in "vehicle status" mode when driving, and it advise you when any wheel drops by as little as 0.1 bar. It says you can ignore it, but check it out when you next have an opportunity. <doh>

The wife gets paranoid when her car tells her that - hence the purchase yesterday.........<laugh>

It's amazing how small Li batteries are now.
Electric motors for fishing boats are usually powered by leisure batteries.
New ones, far more expensive' have built in Li batteries. A club member had his with him last week. So light.
I still prefer to row and get a bit of exercise.

All I can say is I’ve enjoyed my day playing golf, a few beers afterwards sitting in the sun and not fretting anymore about whether we’ll stay up or not<cheers>

Me too. I've had a day out on my Triumph Scrambler. Headed to Brecon, Llandovery (stopped for a bacon sandwich), Carmarthen. Only downside was I had to come back via Swansea (surprised there were no flags flying) and finished up at the new Baffle Haus at Bonvilston, which was packed with bikers and other petrol heads. Happy days :emoticon-0167-beer:

While sorting through a cupboard the day before yesterday, Mrs Remote found an unopened family box of chocolate biscuits, put there in readiness for Christmas, but overlooked.
Yesterday was largely pigging out on a windfall.
Last ones got eaten this morning.

Had to help out a neighbour this morning. Unfortunately he's been suffering with "mens problems" of late - back and forth to hospital for ops and treatment and unable to drive his vehicle for the past couple of months. It's an "off-roader" and his wife won't drive it, so he'd parked it on the road to allow her to drive her own car in and out of their drive.

Feeling a bit better, he came out this morning to start his vehicle up and give it a go up the road. Saw him faffing about under the bonnet so strolled over to ask if I could help. Battery flat as a pancake. <doh> It wouldn't even operate the central locking so had to use the manual key to get in, and as far as turning the engine over - forget it.

He said he'd have to get his wife's car and jump leads out but I told him to hang on while I fetched the magic L-ion jump starter from my car. Clipped the ultra-small pack onto his battery terminals and he said "that'll never turn over this bastard"......<laugh>.......just said get in and try it!

Vroooooom...........started first turn and he was gobsmacked. I mentioned these L-ion jump starters on here about 7 years back when I bought it. Like the just acquired L-ion tyre inflator - bloody amazing peices of kit - inexpensive as well. Never underestimate the Chinese - Trump beware!

    Sounds like amazing kit sparkey.
Jump starting is my go to solution, though when the quad had a flat battery I just yanked the cord.

As for Trump, he's a knob with no understanding. I know we don't do politics on here, but his incompetence is unbelievable.
He's just learning that locking China out will ruin the USA. Make America Grovel Appologetically.

His MAGA hats have doubled in cost because of taffifs as they're made in China.

As for the technology. He's trying to buy Greenland and blackmail Ukraine to get his hands on rare earth's so he's not beholding to China. The issue he's got is the US currently ship all their ore to China for processing as they can't do it themselves. Then they'd have to pay tariffs to get it back.
China now imposing quotas, limiting the rare earth's they'll sell to the states. EV production and IC fabrication in the US will be on hold shortly.
He knows as much about international trade as Tan does about football.

I think as much as anything, remote, rare earth's etc. are extremely dirty to process with horrible by-products.....often radioactive. So the world effectively exports the **** to China coz they don't care. They are also very difficult to deal with on price and they invent penalties and other deductions.

From my limited reading, the dirty process and long term disposal of radioactive by-product was the reason the US stopped processing. China don't seem worried if they lose a few employees or if a couple grow a second head.
Trump doesn't seem to have worked that out yet.

I would imagine Trump would be falling over himself to grow a second head if he thought it was a possibility....

He could then admire himself face to face without even needing a mirror...
Plus his two half brains may actually manage to make a whole one (ok, that really is beyond the realms of reality - sorry)...

Most of the hedges around our fields get cut back every year, though the 100yds or so between the fields is largely left.
The last couple years have had wet and cold springs which have ruined the blossom. To the extent I've not had a sloe for two years. A month back the blackthorn blossomed, so I'm hopeful. The hawthorn is out now and looking spectacular.
