I know we like to take the piss when it comes to Man City's "support" but I wouldn't mind it if I were a Man City fan tbh; it wouldn't be an issue getting tickets then
My Grandparents used to go to the Jolly Miller all the time. Mainly cause it was close to home for them.
Looking back at the game itself. I can't really say if we were brilliant or they were abject. Now they made some shocking decisions to.keep playing it short until it was totally lost and then started hoofing it put of play But. Did we just beast mode an average team or were we just too much quality. I think they wasted solanke and maddiaon chasing a out blindly. I think they threw themsevles on the floor constantly and the ref indulged them. If they didn't try could have been decimated
On City's fanbase - they're a biggish club, but nowhere in the realms of LFC, ManU etc. They have a hard core of real fans who've been with them forever and they'll have garnered a few plazzies since the Oilies took over, but it doesn't really surprise me that they don't sell out all the time. Still, I agree that it's fun giving them a hard time over it.
Maine road was a 35k stadium they had a core base of 20k to 25k bouncing up and down so yeah a solid middle of the road team. Stole a commonwealth stadium while buying random players like fowler and then flogged off too a dodgy Thai corrupt politician as owner who then flogged the club off quick like as it he was laundering corrupt cash Nice quick killing all round.
Yeah, I have one sister in Old Swan, and another in West Derby Village. That stretch from Broad Green to Mill Lane is insane during parades.
