Morning. I celebrate 35 years at my company today, so just about to head to a little award ceremony, with cake and more importantly a £1000 voucher!!
I did 33 years and didn't even get a letter / phone call . Did have a leaving do but that was all done by colleagues

It’s a massive bugbear of mine. Just reduces productivity and risks staff turnover which creates massive costs. If they’ve committed to paying for a big office that’s a sunk cost but almost all businesses are intent on getting people sat at desks on Teams calls and not being able to find a meeting room.
It's really stupid in my role I can do the job anywhere. It's just that lack of control that they hate.

Think you need a few days in the office myself personally. Whether thats, to help integrate as a team, training up new people who aren't familiar with processes or because lets face it, half you ****s aren't even working whether sat at home or in the office.
That is certainly the case with some people in some jobs but not for everyone. That's what these companies can't seem to grasp. If you're not doing your job properly you get called in if you need or want contract with colleagues then go in. If you don't feel into those categories then stay home.
It’s just rude. We can all be dickheads at times on here, but so what, that’s not the point. We tell each other and then move on, but we always come back to the brotherly circle of the not606 family. Anyway, backyard fin repairs today. This old board is a proper beater. It’s been over the rocks a few times, smashed up and brought back to life. I somehow managed to break the fin box for the 2nd time on this board. So this time I’ve just glassed the fin in place and it’s never coming out again lol
