Look at the 3rd Palace goal there. Turnover high up the pitch and the speed of Sarr gets them in on goal. We don't have that profile of player when Mundle/Mayenda aren't playing.

Aye this is it for me. I understand we’ve been in a good league position for a while so picking up points “hasn’t mattered” as such but it’s the manner of the performances that’s worrying. Just because you don’t need to go into every challenge like your life depends on it doesn’t mean we somehow go from being one of the best teams in the league to looking terrible. Our performance away at Boro was class, since then we seem to have been really flat.

At the end of the day anything can happen in the play off matches but I must admit I’m nervous. We have a team good enough that’s unquestionable but their confidence can’t be great at the minute and it’s still a very young squad. I think when we’re winning they look like it means the world to them but when we’re going through a bad spell you can see they look demoralised, that’s just part and parcel of having a young squad imo.

In terms of Rigg, everyone says if you’re good enough you’re old enough.. well if you’re good enough you’re old enough to take flak too. Football fans are fickle that’s something he’ll have to get used to whether I agree with it or not. I don’t think he’s had a good game this side of Christmas and shouldn’t be exempt because of his age or being a local lad. This is where the captain and senior players put an arm round him and earn their salt. Time for everyone to stand up and be counted now, massive month ahead for this football club.

FFS get a grip everybody. The most important thing is the 3 games from play offs to final. That is what is important. Turn up on the days that matter. Just keep the faith.

Didn’t see the game today so can’t comment on the performance but zero shots on target is concerning. We have the final game to get things back on track and all we can do is hope that the Sunderland from earlier in the season turn up. The players will know that we as supporters are getting twitchy and it’s only them can put it right. They’ve given us some great games and performances this season - time for one final push

I would love Warnock to come in and put an arm around some of these young lads shoulders, make them laugh and smile and believe in themselves again. Play with freedom he’d say. Similar to Mogga in some ways.

Its time of year for cool heads and clear thinking.
Last time I checked, this is a fans forum and promotes discussion. Its OK to disagree but remember, we all support Sunderland.

Personally, I,ve always felt we have a squad capable of promotion and whether with us next year or not, 5 or 6 of these lads can play top flight football.
For those who say we would of taken playoffs at start of season, Yes, we would but as manager of biggest club in the championship, that should be the minimum. If we dont have high expectations, Why should the players?

Last year was a disaster and bad decisions got punished with dismissal but the previous year we made play offs, so lets not base our expectations on the management of Beale.

This year with a maturing squad starting to reach potential we have always been top 6 and at one stage we were top 2. Somehow Burnley are now 21 points higher than us.

RLB this is when you earn your plaudits or accept your criticism and perhaps luck will play a part. Youve had 10 weeks to polish shape and motivate players but instead we are stumbling into play offs leaving fans bemused dismayed and anxious. Lets hope we get lucky.

Hopefully RLB picks the correct team and allows players to be creative with Enzo in the middle, attacking full backs and players moving at pace.

As fans hopefully we can stay together for another few weeks and achieve what we deserve. We should never accept mediocracy and for too long that is what we have been served. Time for someone to become a hero!

Not only is the team shyte, the few thousand U fans made more noise in their 3 sided stadium than I’ve heard at the SOL for years.

The SOL is like a graveyard most of the time, with only the away fans trying to create atmosphere.

You are such a positive lad, probably the most negative poster on here, I cant imagine you jumping up and down cheering the lads on, cheer the lads on and stop slagging the fans off

Rigg has still done more than Roberts in terms winning the ball back and moving the ball forward.

We can 100% win the playoffs if we are on it. We've earned our spot over the season, we were in an automatic promotion race until February/March.

Mundle and Mayenda being fit is the key. Get ELF in central areas and Cirkin back in at left back.

    Why the negativity?

And why do you constantly slag off SAFC?

Finally, why did you get banned of SMB?
