Good point, how would that work, surely they’d get a financial reward if we got promoted, even if they never play a PL game?, also Mayulu for instance he will still have a 3 year contract, yet he didn’t even contribute to our season?
The intriguing 'drop-off' stats Bristol City simply can't ignore ahead of blockbuster Leeds United clash https://www.bristolworld.com/sport/...-statistics-leeds-united-championship-5097666
I agree with RP. Knight is the only obvious one at the moment. Possibly Earthy - but he’s not ours. Some of the others may over time improve but we won’t have time to wait for them to get up to speed.
I was the same last time we got to the play-offs, only McIndoe was good enough to cut it in the PL, imo. Possibly Basso as well, but that was it.
I see our injuries have ramped up prior to our last 2 fixtures which means we may be short of substance hoping to make the play-offs. In reality I think we only have a couple (at best) players that could step up to the Premiership standard and if you see that most of our competitors for post season play have way more than us in the step up department it makes our road the most difficult to travel. Looking back at the stupid points lost late in games over the season still tells me we aren't prepared to up the ante because if we had not wasted so many opportunities we would already be where we want to be. Monday will be tough up at Leeds and with us missing vital players who are replaced with lesser lights I think our chances have become only slight. Does anyone remember that night back in the early 70's when we beat a strong Leeds side 1-0 in the FA Cup at Elland Road? Heady days and let's hope for more in the next couple of weeks.

Bristol City: 'England's most boring club' gets a lot more interesting with Championship promotion race hotting up https://www.skysports.com/football/...re-interesting-with-promotion-race-hotting-up
He was never PL standard, a good Championship player though that season, he faded a bit after Christmas, and was never the same player again as the first half of that season.
I seem to remember he got injured and was never the same player when he returned(?) I might be mis-remembering though…
Coventry down to 10 men. The Luton curse isn’t just aimed at us!! Burnley winning though - that’s bad news because they will go top and Leeds will be fired up to regain the crown.
