What was Europes other hit? I can only remember The Final Countdown. No limits with Jenny someone or other plus someone else who I can't remember. In fact was it not started by Jonathan King?

Not his backbenchers, rather the old school tie brigade in the square mile. The Tobin tax is aimed at placing a charge on each financial transaction and as it is meant to be based on a percentage the city traders are kacking themsleves that they won't be able to earn as much. This is a stalling tactic and will come back round in a different form sooner or later. Once charges have been imposed through EU regulation the City won't be able to avoid it. And guess what? Any imposed tax will be passed on through increased charges to all of us. Every time you rearrange your mortgage the fee will be included, every time your pension fund manager carries out a transaction it will be charged. I like the idea of the European community but we have been shafted for years, we only get back about one third of the money we pay in which is a really sh*tty rate of return and the levels of inter-member immigration has all been one way traffic into the UK. Getting out of Dodge sound like a good idea at first but we may find ourselves outside the club when the good times roll round again. Consider my fence well and truly sat on.
