Freeze considering my ticker went up by £150 this season and it's been the worst season in the club's history. Ideally I'd like a reduction but don't see that happening sadly. An increase after such a hefty one last summer would be a pisstake though.
Feels like the club are waiting to see what other teams do. As Brendy said we’ve known the longest about relegation and haven’t announced anything where as Ipswich and Leicester have. Both of them increasing probably not a good sign for a freeze, but I have no idea how much those clubs increased after promotion which might be effecting what they’ve done this summer
Ronnie Edwards voted QPR young player of the season after only joining in January. He will be one of our first names on the team sheet next season.
20 years since that 4-3 Norwich game. One of the greatest ever atmospheres at St Marys that. Ground was shaking when Camara scored. **** I feel old.
Wait until it’s the same time back as the 5-4 against Norwich that’s the one you remember. Then you’ll be really old.
Had some amazing games against Norwich over the years. '86 Lost 4-3 '89 Drew 4-4 '90 Won 4-1 '94 Won 5-4 '05 Won 4-3 '14 Won 4-2 '23 Drew 4-4
The big 50 next year, sure the club will do some events for it. While we're right to celebrate it it does show how pathetic our trophy record is when we're still celebrating one half a century later.
What other clubs have a comparable record? I know teams like Fulham and Palace have never won anything, and teams like Preston have won loads more than us. Not really sure who has just won a single FA Cup as their only major honour. Not even won a second division title have we?
We haven't which is why I desperately want us to next year. And also why I found it mental when Tom said recently he wouldn't care if we finished second to the skates. In terms of clubs with one domestic cup (either FA/League) then off the top of my head: Wigan Birmingham Norwich Swansea QPR Swindon Cardiff Sure there's more though.
We won’t win it, it’s not in our make up. Probably have to drop to League 2 to have a realistic shot at winning a league
Nah I don't think we will either. Our trophy record is particularly bad when you consider how much time we've spent in the top flight in the last 60 years. Of those clubs I listed I think only Brum would have more top flight seasons than us.
