English clubs can only approach out-of-contract players at other English clubs a month before their contract ends. Outside of England, it’s six months. We can, in theory, approach any out-of-contract player in England after May 31st but not a day sooner.
He’s a decent finisher. Fairly quick, strong lad. Technically, he’s still a bit raw. Luton wanted him in January but Wycombe said £6 million is their asking price. That might come down in the summer if they don’t go up. For £4-5 million, I’d say he’s worth it. Brentford spent about that on Toney from Peterborough, rising to £10 million with add-ons and that was five years ago.
Wycombe have an option to sign him in the Summer, which I imagine they will exercise. I think it's just a bit more than we paid for him (£500k).
Pedro just needs to be told what Windass was not to go wider than the widths of the 18 yard box. And strop dropping so deep. Easy to day in a decent team but more difficult in this side at the moment.
Surely be too expensive in signing on fee and wages. I’d love a player like him though, a total ****house that scores goals and winds up the opposition.
Pedro is ****ing class, a dip in form over the last few games since suspension doesn’t change that. We’d be absolutely mad not to try and keep him here next season.
If he’s too expensive for parachute payment Leicester City, or too good / not good enough (?) for Championship Leicester City, then why the **** would we get him?
Missed our chance with Vardy. We were linked before he went to Leicester. Bruce didn't think it was worth £1m punt
I'm not necessarily against it, but I wouldn't be surprised if we let him go. He's probably on a decent wage, Selles didn't sign him and he's one of the only players we can release in order to trim the squad, so I think there's a good chance we release him.
Pretty sure he signed for LCFC before Bruce was appointed. He nearly came to us as Walsh had scouted him, but then Pearson and Walsh went back to Leicester.
