I think it fairly evident that he didn't have the quality of player to succeed. As the last few years have proven.
I can't see it happening yet. Maybe in September or October, but I can't see it happening before the summer. But if somehow it did, I've said on here before that I'd be very happy to get him.
100%. Attack minded, has been promoted 3 times from Championship & has the fire in his belly to prove he can manage at the top level. Also, seems to be a genuinely lovely bloke that is honest, passionate and experienced.
I can see it happening , as the rumours are the American owners are considering it due to his record in the premiership . We will leave it to late anyway ♂️
St. Brendy I was surprised by this but maybe Leeds are savvy enough to realise that Farke is not good enough for the Prem and saw what happened to Saints this season. Binning Martin in May would have seemed outrageous at that time. 11 months later i expect most fans wished we had replaced him then. Unreasonable to Farke but Leeds are probably being pragmatic.
And this is why I really really would not want Farke. The best case scenario would put us back in the same situation as we had with Martin. We go up and struggle badly again.
True but I'd much rather we either take a punt on Rohl or go for a more established name like Cooper. I know Rohl is more risky than Farke in a lot of ways but I genuinely believe his potential is huge.
I'm seriously questioning why you guys would not want Farke if we sack him, he has to be better than the likes of Cooper and the other managers being mentioned on here. There was one rumour that we might replace him with Jose, I dread that thought, I'd rather gamble on Farke Our owners will have almighty big balls if they do say goodbye to him, Kjetil Knutsen is favourite and for the life of me I can't understand why. Edin Terzić second favourite and sounds a decent call. I'm hoping with the Redbull connection they can tempt Klopp back to the PL
Certainly for the first season he was in the prem. Norwich spent practically nothing after promotion, effectively accepted the inevitable from the outset and banked the prem cash. Second season they sold Buendia and bought poorly. Just as he looked like he had found a way to play and have some success, they sacked him. So it is hard to say for certain, if backed well, he would fail again.
Would you be so keen on Rohl if he hadn't been Ralph's assistant? I'm starting to get a bad feeling about him tbh. He's done well at Wednesday but over achieving with a lower end up championship club isn't that unusual in itself. Coming into a club expecting to challenge for the league with the pressure that brings is an entirely different kettle of fish.
To be fair it'll probably be exactly the wrong fit for the players and division. Everyone will see it after about two games and SR will wait until we're f-ked and then change it. Yes I have lost my faith in Southampton Football Club
