Selling beef to India where cows are sacred. It may be a parody account but you could imagine this happening for real.

I see Hegvest leaked sensitive information on a secind signal account and this time divulged information about the times of the air raid.

Yeah but that's ok because Trump has invested so much in someone who has served only as a junior officer and has no real senior military experience. All though that is more than the draft dodger coward Trump did

Putting this here as it concerns the NHS, which is used as a political football.
It looks as if a massive step forward is being taken in the identifying of cancer at very early stages, potentially before symptoms are detected.
    Southampton University is involved too.

“A test that can detect multiple of the most lethal and common cancers is being trialled by the NHS in the hope it may save tens of thousands of lives.

A form of PCR test, a technology perfected during the Covid pandemic, this “universal” test can detect early signs of cancer in the blood potentially years before symptoms.

The miONCO-Dx blood test costs £120 and it is hoped can ultimately screen the population for 12 cancers – of the lung, breast, prostate, pancreas, colon, ovaries, liver, brain, oesophagus, bladder, bone and soft tissue sarcoma and gastric cancers.

Scientists at Southampton University and medical tech firm Xgenera used data on 20,000 cancer patients to develop the technology, which measures the microRNA in the blood and uses AI to identify if, and where in the body, cancer is present.

In early trials, it was 99% accurate in detecting cancer at any stage and also in identifying where it had started.

It identified 50 cancers before getting one false positive – detecting cancer when it isn’t present – which exceeds the current best practice, researchers have said.”

Good news on a day I could do with some. Also worth highlighting other advances using miRNA targeted vaccines and tests for disease control and prevention. This research needs increased funding and collaboration worldwide in particular with our European neighbours given British cancer patients are being denied life-saving drugs and trials of revolutionary treatments are being derailed by the red tape and extra costs brought on by Brexit according to a recent report.
    https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/39092652/
"The review highlights recent advancements in using miRNA-targeted vaccines against viruses like influenza, poliovirus, and tick-borne encephalitis virus, demonstrating their attenuated replication in specific tissues while retaining immunogenicity. We also explored the function of miRNAs in the biology of cancer, highlighting their potential to develop cancer vaccines through targeting miRNAs that are overexpressed in tumour cells. The difficulties in developing miRNA vaccines are also covered in this work, including delivery, stability, off-target effects, and the requirement for individualized cancer treatment plans. We wrap off by discussing the potential of miRNA vaccines and highlighting how they will influence the development of vaccination techniques for cancer and infectious diseases in the future.

Breakthroughs are being made in the treatment of malaria and other tropical diseases.
    https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/39092652/
"To conclude, miRNAs represent a very promising tool in the fight against malaria and have the potential not only to allow the detection of parasites in mosquitoes and patients, but also to diagnose early-stage tissue or organ damage, significantly boosting clinical outcomes as well as the success of malaria control."

I saw a short video on YouTube in which Trump’s education secretary was talking about schools, in the future, having access to A1 teaching materials. A ONE not AI.
    Says it all.

Not that I would massively fancy it at the moment anyway, but after the story of that French Professor being deported because he had messages critical of Trump on his phone, there is officially no way I can go while Trump is President, i'd probably end up in ****ing El Salvador.

Americans are so dense they don’t understand why denying immigrants due process is bad. They think being denied the right to prove you have leave to remain won’t affect people who do have leave to remain…

The level of stupidity in that statement is mind-blowing.
