Ah ****, so that ain't key at all then lol Their other games seem winnable for Forest, gonna be tough.
That's probably the one where they are most likely to drop points tbf away at Brentford. Like I say I'd hope that Villa have half an eye on their semi final and drop the ball somewhere but other than that we need a very good run - but 10 points from 5 games isn't beyond this squad. I think we can squeak it really but lets be honest even top 6 with a cup win is a great season. If there is collapse and we finish say 8th/9th/10th we still have a (winnable) European competition to look forward to next season anyway.
What’s really ****ing frustrating is we’re doing everything by the book, are in a desperate fight for top 5 and meanwhile City are still unpunished for 115 charges, and Chelsea’s ludicrous sale of its women’s team remains un-ratified. Both should see penalties and I am firmly of the belief that had Man U and Spurs been the ones at the top and not Newcastle, Forest and Villa, both clubs would’ve been punished. I think that purely because 4 of the so called big 6 should be hit, the PL will delay and delay. Clubs like us MUST be aware, so why does nothing happen??????
For us? Given what happened to Forest and Everton, we should already have qualified for the CL alongside Forest and Villa. These other two shouldn’t be anywhere near. Seems a bit daft to see if we can qualify before complaining. It’ll be too late then. By the rules the PL instigated, the punishment for Chelsea at least should be implemented this season, as it’s the previous years accounts that are under serious question. Yet here we are, with **** all happening yet again.
For us yeah, I can't imagine the Saudis aren't delighted with how well things are going for their investment, so why pick any fights. They'll also know in October the hearing for APT2 will come along and potentially blow the gates off the cartels defences.
I think the 115 charges and APT2 will give us that clearance we need. Man City will get off with most of it but likely will get a small points deduction with the PL saying look we punished them. The Chelsea thing is just ludicrous and how it can stand is beyond me. It’s all going to be ok though. I’ve seen enough progress since the takeover to suggest we can do it.
I don’t disagree but Chelsea are currently in breach of PSR with the PL delaying a decision they were all too keen to make for Everton and Forest a season or so ago. It’s disgraceful.
Actually If Man City win APT2 that's the 115 or a large number of them more than likely up in smoke, because how can you take issue with a clubs revenue if another set of rules restricting increased revenues over the same period are found completely unlawful. Newcastle simply get on with it and wait.
