Bought a head of lettuce from a small grocery store called Mommas and Papas. Can't eat it because all the leaves are brown.
I threw a ball for my dog... It's a bit extravagant I know, but it was his birthday and he looks great in a Tuxedo.
I wasn't aware of this, we take care of friend's dogs now and then and have used tablets rather than spray or spot cream https://www.private-eye.co.uk/in-the-back? "PESTICIDES in flea treatments for cats and dogs are killing the chicks of blue tits and great tits, according to recent research from the University of Sussex, funded by the charity SongBird Survival." "The songbirds line their nests with pet fur that is infused with the pesticides fipronil and imidacloprid (a neonicotinoid), which were banned in agriculture in 2013 and 2018 respectively. They are still, however, the main ingredients in some "spot on" pet treatments for fleas and ticks. Vets are now advising pet owners not to leave pet fur outside for nesting birds." Waterways have also been affected. When dogs swim, the product on their skin pollutes the water where it can be poisonous to fish and aquatic organisms. Bees are at risk, too, with Imperial College research showing that one monthly flea treatment for a large dog contains enough imidacloprid to kill 25 million bees." Not yet banned in pet pesticides, something to be aware of when treating your pets. please log in to view this image

Travel tip, it's cheaper to book individual return flights from Amsterdam to Bali Sept/Oct than two together. The price rises from €770 to 900 with Singapore Airlines, who were the best on price and flight times, booking direct or via a booking site. Bonkers, any ideas why that should be? This probably applies to most if not all destinations. I'm pretty sure we can link the flights after booking or select seats together for a few euros.
Looks to me like they are trying to make a few extra quid out of people who fear not being able to sit together if they take the individual option you mention. Whatever the reason it’s ****ty doing that.
Took my car for its annual ITV (MOT) this morning. You can book appointments or just drop in to an ITV centre (they’re not done at trading garages as in the UK), so my appointment was booked for 09.00. When I arrived there were 2 cars and 2 vans ahead of me so I was wondering how things would pan out and if they would be checked before my car so I mentally prepared myself for a wait. Needn’t have worried as they called me in before my appointment and bosh, check done and pass paperwork issued. You are actually part of the checking process out here, as in you sit in the car and respond to requests to switch on the lights, wipers, etc until they then take over to complete other tests. Only takes between 10-15 minutes, but why they check the indicators, when no fecker out here uses them is a mystery.
