If all goes to plan, that takes us into the last day games.

    Cov vs Boro

    Bristol City vs Preston

Even Burnley vs Millwall if the others lose

High pressure games, with a lot to lose.

I’m over early for that one so I’ve can do the same, it should be an entertaining day …

… the Boro game will take some handling if they have to win.

Agree mate, but think it’ll be close to full strength Saturday then all out for qpr like it’s the last friendly before the season starts, would love the see the front foot football from August in the play offs and blitz them

Despite claims of why we should be worrying about the opposition …

… it looks like their nerves are starting to kick in.

None of them will think we're the soft touch some of our supporters seem to think we are.

Not lost any momentum compared to our rivals then.

Not that I think that’s the most important thing right now. It’s ensuring we haven’t got a completely knackered squad like we did in the playoffs a couple of years ago.

Does anybody think we are purposely playing the way we have been for the last few games.

Our set pieces and corners. We don’t want to show any routines we have for getting goals when we have a corner. Any opposition would see what we do and be prepared for it.
Just kicking aimless balls into their area will give them no idea of any tricks we might have when it’s an important game.

Throw ins. Do we keep on giving the ball to the opposition from all our throw ins on purpose. When it comes to the playoffs maybe we will start to get the ball to one of our own players which the opposition will not be expecting.

Pattersons kicking. Is he deliberately kicking the ball into touch, mainly on the LW area so that the opposition will not expect us to get possession from any of our goal kicks.

Are we missing penalties on purpose so that if we get one or a game goes to penalties the opposition will expect poor weak shots but we will blast them into the net.

Are we really goal shy or do we want to keep our attempts at a goal secret and not give anything away. The opposition will be expecting us to miss all our shots so if we start trying to score they will be surprised.

Finally, all the loose balls end up with the opposition. Are we lulling the opposition into expecting this or will we start to be anticipating where the balls will be bouncing to and pick up on these 50/50 and loose balls.

Have we been bluffing the other teams but when the games really mean something we will be a completely different proposition.

If Watson applies himself the way he did Monday then I’m fine using him until mundle is back slight worry we’re going to try and play mundle half fit and risk a serious injury

Personally don't think we'll see Mundle until the playoff final, where he'll be on the bench.

This is exactly what I’ve been thinking. As soon as playoffs were guaranteed, why should we show our hand? I also think it’s telling that Hume’s red (afaik) wasn’t appealed. Gave him a rest.

Also, Roberts taking that free kick yesterday instead of Le Fee, I thought it was a bit suss.

All fair points, I’m sure things are quite different in training …

… and we all know Hume will put in 100% no matter what.

Not being involved doesn’t mean he’s not training.

No point risking him when Watson is there to take the knocks.

The club seems to be playing their cards close to their chests …

… I think they’ll keep everyone guessing as much as possible.

Maybe... I think this has credence though, same hamstring injury as last time and that took him a good few months to come back from, just for him to reinjure it

Now that Sheffield Utd cannot get auto promotion they are in the same boat as us.
They now have 2 games which are meaningless.
They can rest players or whatever.
Even though it’s only two I am disappointed they have these 2 games so imagine how the other hopefuls must have felt about us having a good half dozen games to rest players and get minutes into fringe players.

We’ve had/got a great opportunity the likes of Coventry or Bristol must be so jealous about.
