I think 6 to 10 is a realistic range.

There's always going to be some that think Newcastle will win every week, but most people would probably agree with me on this one.

 

Nobody would be surprised if we fail to beat Ipswich but take all 3 at the Emirates. Football's funny like that.

 

I would be.

 

9 or 10 would probably be enough for 5th.

The thing is this is the business end so we'll see a few odd results.

4-0 win v Ipswich
1-1 draw v Brighton
3-1 win v Chelsea
1-0 loss v Arsenal
2-1 win v Everton

 

Arsenal to actually score against us? Bold. Guess they have to sometime, though they haven't yet managed it in over 270 minutes so far this season.

 

We're in a great place right now, regardless of the Villa loss we've got ourselves right in it.

Brighton - draw
Chelsea - win
Arsenal - lose
Everton - win

10 points, that will be easily enough for CL, slightly optimistic with the Everton win, but we'll see

 

The worst part is whoever the two clubs are that fall short are going to fall into the europa league, which is essentially like landing in quicksand.

 

I'd prefer EL over ECL. The ECL is proper bollocks.

 

Winning that is easier than landing the CL the correct way.

 

But very winnable as struggling Man U and Spurs have shown.

Not belittling their achievement but some difference now that 3rd placed CL teams don't drop into the Europa now.

Villa are right but it won't help us if Spurs make the final,can see the U12s togging out for them.

 

Based on Spurs recent league performances we would probably be better served by their U12's anyway. They must have a bit more defensive nous than their senior players.

 

Genuinely don't care, all I want is the Toon to put on four more cup final performances and we're in the UCL.
