That massive ****, Yates, literally chokes Bergvall there. £5 to the Spurs player that right-angles his ankle.
<BBC> Paul: Jon says spurs don’t have quality to get the goals needed yet they’ve scored 60 goals. Only 4 teams have more. Scoring goals is hardly their problem. Their midfield don’t dominate games and their defence is rubbish. Only 6 teams have conceded more than them. </BBC> < FACT >
So endure that and they've just announced White Hart Lane station is closed. Oh and make alternative arrangements to get home....
One fluke and one shocker against the latest iteration of Leicester 2016 cost us. Created enough to get back in that game a lot earlier than we did.
And the mystery of how extra time is added in extra time remains a mystery. As well as how extra time is calculated in the first place. Until we have the responsibility taken from the ref this will continue to be a lottery. But you know what? Even if it isn't a lottery the time left should be known to avoid *suspicion* that it's a lottery.
It's abundantly clear that if the match is televised that gets an extra three or four minutes added on at the broadcaster's behest
I think he’s blunted by the system and having to cross earlier which nullifies the cross a lot of the time. Get him attacking the by line instead of crossing early or cutting in and he would be lethal
The thing is Porro is also a useful asset cutting in, as he's got a cannon of a right foot and by default has become our long range option as our midfielders are clearly coached not to do so Which does underline the issue of our setup because we could have Porro overlap or underlap depending on how the buildup is progressing, but the way we overload the wide channels overcrowds that area of the pitch
If we'd played like that all season, we'd be a lot higher in the table. Awful opening 20mins but we got better and better as the game progressed. Nuno deserves a huge amount of credit. Player for player that Forest side is proper ****e. Almost entirely bereft of quality. But he has them well drilled, focused and working as a unit.
Got to be honest ... couldn't give a toss about any games except the EL ones. We can't really climb the league much so it's irrelevant. A win A draw and a win in the EL is all that matters. Ain't gonna happen but those games are all that matter.
Exactly^^^ Don’t even understand why anyone is upset with how it’s going in the league Ange can’t cut it in the league…we all know this Europa we are on different mental, emotional wavelength collectively, not without Ange because I think he is the drive behind the players turning up in the Europa, a tournament they think they can win, they are telling us in interviews that they want to win for the manager. I hope he wins it and walks away with his head held high for delivering us a major trophy…job done…id take that every season over finishing 4/5th to participate in the CL making up the numbers. However, he should go once this Europa journey is over wherever it ends because he can’t cut it in the league and the CL is way beyond him tbh. But this is our level as a club…we should have won the Europa on a few occasions in the past and have been favourites for it but failed because we are too arrogant to take it seriously but this is our level as a club and I’m ok with it under this regime this is the best we can be…winning the odd cup here and there. If, big if, he does it and delivers then I will remember him fondly…I’ve even enjoyed tasting what 17th position feels like, been funny as **** tbh…but I dont want to get used to it. all about next Thursday for me
Quite a few quotes emerging from Romero (apparently after the game) that drop some hints he'll be looking to move on in the summer. Good riddance as far as I'm concerned. Injured or suspended for 50% of games, crap in 20% of them and excellent in 30%. Not good enough. We improved hugely when Danso came on for him. Not saying the austrian is the more gifted player, but he certainly works harder, is more humble, plays for the team and doesn't have a habit of slicing through opposition strikers under the ref's nose.
